where is my 6.20
hey i was wonderin about my times and whats the quickest cheapest way i can get it down. im not the best drag racer in the world but i am trying my best. around here all we run is the 8th i cut a 1.50 60ft and still ran a 6.40. my best time has been 6.30's. i weigh about 185 i have m4 slip ons power commander thats not tuned flies out and extended. a buddy of mine has the same mods but he is tuned and geared different exhaust but weighs more than i do and he is runnin 6.20's. i cant make this thing stop bogging out the hole im very frustrated right now.

If it is bogging I would think you need to change the gearing.

for sure that about what air pressure do you normally run i have a shinko but its not the ultra soft its the one under it i have been havin problems spinnin a little in second

But thats just it..........im ahead. lol....Gear it, and get it tuned and then get rid of the fear!!!!!! This site helps but everybody on here seems to be faster than me, and i dont see what im doing wrong....but i am ahead of you...lol...just messing with you. See you at the tree!

if you want 20's or better get sprockets 16/43 if you drag a lot, and it still works on the street, also better have a speedo healer cause it will be way off

I went 6.10s on a stock wheelbase 14 yesterday 1.56~1.58 60fts @173 lbs. Brock pipe/PC, lowered -front/rear and 16/40 gearing with U4.2 fuel. 120.87, 120.96, 121.15 mph. Your 330ft is just as important as your 60ft. A lot of gearing at stock wheelbase is not the way to go.

extended how far ? Get a real pipe/mapping, seat time, you'll go right bye 6.20's to 6.0's or 5.90's.

Alot of us cant afford a real pipe as u call it.....Im sure Brock's exhaust makes more power but paying over a grand for it, is a little out of my leauge. Trust me i want one, but i cant pay that much, and this might sound stupid, but a car benifits maybe 5hp difference's from different exhaust...maybe 5 is alot on a bike.If i could find one used and sell my muzzy i would, but until then,,,,,i will keep it.

you pickup more like 10+ hp with a brock's over stock with his mapping and the whole system is light, only around 8 lbs or something. so you drop some weight too. i defintely can relate on the financial part though. it's unbelievable how much aftermarket bike parts cost.

You not only get HP from Brocks pipes you get HP from his killer maps...Keep an eye out for a used one ..Brock will send you all the maps you need if you give him the name of the first owner of the pipe ..
Don't think of it as 10 hp.... Trust me it's way more than just a number....Killer power from 3000 to redline !!!!!!

So smokin....just curious...i cant get any better than a 6.23 at 113mph....ive done every thing i can...im leaving tucked and am full throttle right past the tree or before, my 60's are 1.40's, and my 330's are 4.0's and 4.1's....so you think honestly by putting a brock's exhaust on it..i can go maybe 6.1's or even 6.0's?? Because if i can...i guess im gonna start saving money...haha.

If you put a Brocks street meg and his race map you will go 6.0s ...If you can't run that 6.0s it's because you fell off the bike at the starting line ...  lol...

well i can see different ideas its hard to believe that a map and a pipe will drop me 3 tenths but im sure you have more time in this than i do. for right now i will just have to work with what i got been thinkin bout strippin in the evenings BROCKS if your reading this i will send you pics for an exhaust HAHA damn that shits high make one for a poor man my mama dont take care of me
