100% incorrect.
I've been on ducati's for the past 10 years ... 916sps, 996s, 700FE, S4r Monster, 1098s.
Except for scheduled maintenance and mods I have never had the need to wrench on my bike.
I've also had GSXR-1000, Kawi 636, R6, all of which have required more trips to the shop than any Duc I've owned.

lets see 5 different ducatis in 10 years = 2yrs avg life expectancy. hope maintenance was all you needed as quick as you turned them back in
fyi the moderator on the 1098 site of bikeland got rid of his due to recurring problems that couldn't be solved, if you doubt me check any ducati forum.
by the way i was not the one who made up the mechanics slogan
i like all bikes just having some fun

You know what they say when you "assume". Your logic is flawed, being that you assume I only own one bike at a time.
My average "ownership" of Ducati's is minimum 6 years, maximim 11.
If a Ducati is going to be a maintenance nightmare, it should be here in Tucson where it's hot 7 mo's out of the year.
I'm not going to disagree that there may be lemons in any brand of cycle, but I have not experienced that in my ownershiop and that of the ducati community in Tucson.

My cousin used to ride in AZ but he found it 2 dam hot...
Cant blame him... A daily commuter is a killer. But driving early in the morning or at night you have a chance...

every maker spits out a lemon or two here and there, but that required maintenance every 7500 on the duc just turns me off
