Had a good night at the track
Well on my 4th night at the track with the 14 I finally was able to turn some decent numbers. Now consider that I am about 230lbs (240-245lbs suited) which is about 80lbs over what the average drag racer weighs and factor in that the track I run at is sitting at 3070ft above sea level when you comment about my numbers. My previous bests were 10.55@136mph. Here's what the numbers of my best run look like.
Reaction - -.016 (first redlight of the night, My four runs were. .071, .007, .127 and the redlight)
60ft - 1.753
1/8th - 6.72@110.63mph
1/4mile - 10.27@136.90
Convert all that to sea level and I ran a 9.90@142.11mph. Not bad considering what mods I have on my bike and how much I weigh. With an average (150lb) rider and my same skill, that would be about a 9.5 or so at probably 145mph or at my elevation a 9.8@139mph or something similar.
I know I need to work on my 60' times. I gotta tell myself to get off clutch and on the throtle more and faster. Its a work in progress.
Here are my mods: Full muzzy Ti/Ti, BMC street filter, PC3, lowered 1 1/2" rear, strapped front, thats it! I have some carrazarria (or however the hell you spell them) wheels and a -1 front, +2 rear gear change coming in the mail. Hopefully that'll drop me down to around 10 flat or so. Then I can get my NHRA license. Yah me! Once I get it all done, I should be able to run a sea level converted 9.5 or so which is great for my fat ass. (6' and between 225 and 230lbs)

He said he was lowerd and strapped. Good times, a 1.65 60ft would get you a 10.0 or maybe even a 9.99

Air shifter is what u need!
That will improve your "off the clutch" if you feel that is where you are lagging...
my 2 cents...

Yeah, I am lowered but not slammed like most people. I still ride the bike to work everyday so I can't put it on the lowest setting like most people. I am still at the stock wheelbase which is where I think I' m gonna keep it. I wouldn't mind stretching but I kinda like the idea of being about to run pretty quick stock instead of streched like most.
If I can get myself into the 9.8/9.9 range out here, that will be a pretty respectable 9.5/9.6 at sea level which aint bad for a lightly modified bike at stock wheelbase with a big ass rider.
