Front sprocket access...

I think it's time for a new chain and I looked at the front sprocket area and there is alot of stuff like wires, and hoses around and bolted to the housing. Nothing like my 600rr....

Aside from the gear indicator sensor.....How do I get to the front sprocket? Is there any fluids I have to worry about spilling when I take it apart?

It's just the one sensor wire and a few bolts.

You are going to have a lot more trouble replacing the chain than getting to it.........you have to remove the swing arm or cut the chain

Honestly....if you are not handy w/ tools - pay to have it done.

As long as the clutch does not come apart there is no fluid issue.

Still gotta cut the old one.........and I think I like it solidly put together.......don't want to lose the master or have it stolen - this is LA....it happens.

I have never once paid to have one of my vehicles worked on....and I will maintain that til the day I become a cripple. :-P

I have worked on my 600rr all day long...never once took apart mechanical pieces on the ZX-14 in the 8 months I have had it. Just the cover has another cover ontop of it with a hose that connects to it. I just wanted to verify if I have to take off that smaller cover and if fluid will come out if I do.

And yeah....I have a dremel....so now you know how I am going to replace the chain.
