Funny you mention falling asleep. I actually did that on a ride into work. I always counted on staying awake no matter what when riding, since I leave for work at 4:45am and its a hour plus drive each way. Nodded off and banged a curb, put a little hole in the bottom left side of fairing.
I don't ride to work anymore unless I'm fully awake. Never had that problem with my other bikes. I still like it's smoothness, though. Makes eating up the miles so much easier, including long riding days inthe mountains, where for every full throttle mile of twisties you have 5-10 miles of tooling along.

Buzza,,,, because that is what it is!
And to my friend with the new Buzza,,,Sorry Dave but it's true.
I know you troll here from time to time.
GO PENGUINS!!
And some Busa guys actually like the feel, say it's like an old muscle car from the 70's where the 14 is like a BMW or Mercedes smooth and fast.
Hey my RoadRunner is very smooth Floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee ... But at 6500 it's running around 140 mph and it will burn some oil...

I really pushed at night to get the milage put on her...
No issues.
During a ride, I made a stop. I came back to my bike and as I was backing it out of a parking space I started it up and it ran for a few seconds and then died. I restarted it and it wanted to start for a quick second, but then died and did nothing but turn over.
At that point I knew it had to be one of 2 things; no spark or no fuel. Turned out to be the fuel pump. I replaced it and now back on that bad boy racking up some more miles :o)

Fuel pump? really?
Symptoms?
No start?
run poor?
I run a dry shot... I pay attention to fuel issues...

quote: 25K on my 06 ,,,my rings were shot. The 06 was burning 1 quart in 600 miles . Sold it to the mechanic at the Dealership and had to sue WESTERN SERVICE CONTRACT COMPANY who I had my "so called" EXTENDED WARRANTY through. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!
My 07 is turning 19K and is also burning oil. 1 quart in 1,300 miles. Kawasaki said that it is acceptable and they will not repair the bike unless it burns more than 1 quart in 1K miles. I have not seen anybody else having this problem." THE BIKE IS COMPLETLY STOCK" I am about to have the valves adjusted and the guy that is doing the valves is going to check the rings while it is apart. I thought about a warranty through Kawasaki but have NO FAITH that they will fix the problem. I was only 1 month out of my KAWASAKI warranty when the 06 died and they wanted nothing to do with it ,,,or me.
I will update everyone after the valves are done and the flies are removed and the PCIII is installed.
My main business is "problems and Complaints" (problemscomplaints.com) and I have had many clients with "warranty" problems. I am not a big believer in extended warranty contracts in the motorcycle industry mainly because; the cost is not worth the hassel and they don't really cover the bike as you are made to believe - read the actual terms and conditions.
Nevertheless, your problem is quite rare and I would like to know when you first noticed your oil loss or burning on the 06 and the 07. Two bikes in a row with the same problem certainly sucks and I would make sure that you get your ducks in line and press Kawasaki on this issue.
