5.65 @ 126.99 1/8 mile pass on pump gas ..

I didn't think it was possible to go 5.65 @ 126.99 on pump gas on my zx14 ...I have been 5.62 on MR9 at this track but never got close to that on 87 pump gas ..

I also didn't think it was possible to go a 1.35 60 foot time but tonight i had a 1.37 1.36 and a 1.35 ... Just when i think my zx14 has done it best it suprizes me by going even faster ..Tonights pass of 5.65 was not a one time funny time ticket because i ran a 5.66 and a 5.67 also .. My new 08 zx10 is really going to have to work hard to run them numbers ... I just don't think you can buy a faster bike than the zx14 .. If you could i don't have a clue of what it would be because they haven't built it yet ...

Smokin ..

Yes we had some good air for this time of year ...45% humidity and temps in the low 70s to high 60s later in the night ....Believe me 45% humidity in FL is pretty good ..By this weekend it will be back into the 70% to 80% range...

Nice to see the numbers get better and better on the King Kawi - nobody can say you didn't maximize what it could do before doing a buncha mods.

Congrats Lee

Thanks Guys ... I don't know if it was the good air or the bike is just getting faster with age or i just had a good night ... It's not like i haven't run in good air before last night , hell i had the bike over two years and we have raced it in the dead of winter and not gone this fast ...Top that off with i have put on a few pounds in the last year ... I have 2940 miles on the bike now so maybe it's getting broken in ..lol... Whatever it is i'm going to give the bike all the credit... The zx14 is a total package , rides great , easy mods, faster than sink and strong as dirt ..Kawi did a great job with this bike and has set a high water mark in Motorcycles...

Kawi did such a good job that it's going to be years before they try to top it with a faster zx14 or zx15 and that suck because i look forward to gettin the next new great Motorcycle as we all do ..Some good things come from this, More aftermarket parts the longer the bike stays untouched and good resale for the older zx14s ..

Hey nightmare, what branch are you in and where are you deployed to?

I'm an Aviation warfare systems operator / Aviation Rescue Swimmer in the navy deployed off the coast of South America right now. I know all too well how bad it sucks not being able to ride while being gone. Only 43 days until i pull back into san diego!

As far as your zx14 all you need is an Air shifter to beat my times ....

After you ride a hard to ride bike, shorter or faster, the big long bikes are easier to ride.
After riding a R1 and the zx12. My old RR felt like something was wrong with it, until I ran
the best time I ever ran on it. Once your mind gets use to reacting quicker you can make
more adjustments in the 60t. I saw Ryan schnits dribble the front end in the 60.
IT's amazing the number of adjustments that guy makes IN THE 60.
