Did a track day - This is the result
I did a track day in Phoenix this weekend at firebird raceway east track. 7 Rights and 3 lefts (which were really only switchbacks and not really hard corners) so most the tire wear is on the right side. There were a bunch of bikes there and of all of the "street" bikes that were there racing in the super street class, I'd have to say I was in the top 3 in fastest there. I was really only getting passed by people with full on "race prep'd" bikes and I even passed a few of those. Of course I passed quite a few liter bikes with riders who bought those bikes but really should be on a 600.
Anyway here are the pics.

I'll have better pics (corners, full lean, etc.) once I get some from the track photographer.

I was pretty windy both days. I didn't notice much on the track except for one big gust which blew sand and dirt all over me while entering a corner. My Canopy was blowing like crazy though. Even my weights on the corner had to be adjuste every 20 mins or so because the canopy was blown crooked.

That looks like fun, how did the stroller take the corners? I am only asking because if your single handled ok then I may be able to get my double with cup holders in the corners too.

Ha, thats pretty funny. My 1 y/o son didn't spend too much time in the stroller. He perfered his power wheels 4-wheeler. He used it as his pit bike since the pit was pretty empty.

bigdtd, I'm right hear just saw this thread but I ride a Honda on the track-
200hp_zx14, GREAT PICS! Wow that R6 is sweet. The track is better than words can describe. 600's rule on the track, I'm sure you noticed litre bikes have to start braking sooner before the turns, and the extra weight doesn't alloow them to go around the corners with the same speed. Then they rock in the straights but have to get on the brakes sooner again lol..... high rev 600's and race tracks are truly a blast :P

As for the liter bikes, I was thinking the same thing. If went any faster, I'd only have to brake harder and sooner to make the same turns. I even got the R6 to spin up the rear coming out of a really tight turn. I was in 1st when I should have been in second so when I hit the gas still at about 1/4 lean, the rear moved a bit before it hooked up. On a liter bike I'm sure I would have made the same mistake more than once and probably would have ended up with a highside because of it..
All in all, a hell of a lot of fun. I'm definately going back soon.
