If you don't have the tool that swivels from the stock tool kit..........you may have trouble.........

Ever who told you that for a 14 must of just gotten off the pipe. The air box IS part of the frame on the 14, The Gas tank does NOT need to be removed. The side grilles(which are referred to as George Foreman grilles) do have to be removed, & I believe it would be a little easier with the right fairing side panel removed. I find it was easiest to get #4,#3, & even #2 from the right side. Just my 2 cents

I needed a good morning laugh :-) .......better stay away from that tech.........

The "grills" are slang for the side panels........with the fins.

You reach between the frame/airbox and engine and pull the 4 ignition coils up and to the sides. Then you snake in the swiveling plug tool provided in the stock tool kit. Not the easiest bike to change plugs on. I used mine for almost 15K miles and still just fine.

ive changed mine twice, only 21000 mileson it.reason being, both times bike stopped going to redline;stopped pulling around 10,400 or so.when i changed them i was back in business.what i did was pull testarosa fins, and let side fairings hang.i used the tool out of the pouch did the one on the left side, and did the other three from the right side.i have pretty big hands might i add!the hardest part of the job was getting started!

I've done a plug change with only 2500 miles. My bike was sitting on a show room floor for quite a while, and then i left on deployment and the plugs wet down because my mom was just cranking it up and letting it sit for a few minutes and run. I've never seen a bike that couldn't stand to use a new set of plugs that has more than 5,000 miles on it. If you haven't changed them, you might pull one and see what they look like. Reading your plugs ever so often is never a bad Idea.
