Brock's Exhaust question?
Does anyone know the difference between the Brock's Short meg exhaust and the Alien head? Aside from the shape of course.

You can't go wrong with either one. I personnely like the looks of the original s-meg. Thats what it comes down to really, what you like best. When you get her done posts some pictures. Bill.....

Here you go, straight from Brock:
The alienhead starts out as a shortmeg, then we form it into the shape of the alienhead. The HP is the same and the alienhead is slightly louder because it has less packing around the baffle but they are very close. The shortmeg also has a removable baffle like the smeg but is louder because it is shorter and smaller in diameter.

The perforated portion of the baffle on the Short Meg is 10.5" long, where the Standard Meg is around 16". Silver08 has the Alien Head and I have the Short Meg, we rode last Sunday and the sound of the pipes are very similar, with the Short Meg having a slightly deeper tone as Silver has said. Power is equal, so it all comes down to personal preference when comparing these two pipes.
After seeing and hearing both, I still like the look & sound of the Shorty myself. But, it's a win-win situation, no matter which one you choose though.

You guys ever run the street with the baffle out? With the baffle out is where it sounds the best.
