Do you want it done permanently or just temporary. There are kits made that will lower the forks(internal), you can strap it, or just raise the tubes up into the tripple tree.
If you want it to be permanent, go with the internal kit.
Temp, go with the front end strap.
Or, the best of both worlds(for the amount you're asking about)...loosen the forks at the tripple tree and slide them up about an 1/2 inch. I did mine 3/4 of an inch and was very happy with it. I still strap the piss out of it at the track though. Just be careful if you decide to do this. You can easily screw something up when the whole front end of the bike crashes down on the front fender. Also, the tubes are tapered, so if you raise the forks too high, the trees will not bite.

To be honest you don't need the internal kit for a half inch and using a strap is just for the track.
Support the bike, put a jack under the engine and undo the triple clamps, carefully lower it on the jack, the forks will pop out of the top triple clamp as you lower it. Measure this carefully and tighten the clamps again. A five minute job but do be careful to support the bike properly.

You will need to loosen all allen head bolts on upper and lower tripple clamp to lower front. I prefer to slightly adjust right side while leaving left tight, followed by adjusting left side while keeping right tightened ( I only allow approx 1/4" travel on each side before tightening and adjusting opposing side ) This prevents frame from either sliding down too far or much worse, directly into fender! Hope this helps.
