Perfect Map for Brock Pipe and my setup
OK, I still have my Blue 06 completely stock. I bought PCIII & S-meg(that I had sent out to be ceramic coated black Semi-gloss). Brock's technical support has emailed multiple maps but I just can't decide which map would be the best fit. I have BMC race filter to install and changing my oil filter/oil to royal purple. I've heard that the Maxxon map is supposed to be a real good one. Thanks in advance for the great information, I will post pics upon completion. Best Regards

Oh and one more question. I bought the noise reducer to put in when I'm riding my girl. How does that decel pops sound plugged and any negative consequence to the engine? Anyone experience that?

I would email Brock and ask him what map he recommends tell him what kind of riding you do and what kind of fuel you will be using. All of the track maps are tuned for race gas BTW if that makes a difference. If you are not drag racing and are running pump gas then go with one of the street maps. I used the maxton map, even when running on the street with pump gas and it felt like it pulled hard with no flat spots

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Unless it was my DJ hub , not switching ... which I would not doubt, I found the maxton map to be terribly rich....

Open the maps with the software, the notes sections tells what mods the map is for.
I would bet the Street map would be best especially with the quite plug.
It's easy enough to try all the map for your setup to see which you like best.
I like the PC under the seat better than under the ram air cover , because its much easier to make changes.

I sure Brock sent you all the maps. I have used a couple of them. I started out with the maxton map, very rich, better for drag or mile. I would use the smeg/w baffle street map...for the street! Don't get confused with the smeg no baffle maps!

i've tried three of the maps.street map made 187.8hp on pump gas, rode good on the street saved gas, thats it period!performed like crap!(as far as racing was concerned).tried the track map next, made less hp but runs like a raped ape!gas milage not as good, but who cares if you're looking for performance.tried the maxton map on three different occasions, hated it all three times!bike acted really funny, looked @ the difference of the maps and all i can see is the maxton has a little more fuel added in the higher rpm's.my choice would be the track map, just depends on what you're looking for.

Thanks for the responces! I have all of the maps from Brocks and I think I will start out trying the Maxton map and will load a different one if I'm not happy with it. I can't wait until I return to perform my mods!

I had the same opinions.

I agree with Dubious and Kimski I tried all three (3) as well an for street riding seemed to noticed bike was getting was too much fuel for stop and go riding which depending upon where you live you are going to do. The Maxton map seemed to be alright for WOT but on the street how many times would you get to do that. My .02 the track map was alot better for riding around town

My bike is located in Sanford, Florida and a few of the guys on this forum are also located in FL. I wish I had a LCD for the Power Commander, then I could oscilate and pick the best for my bike. But dealing with reality I must choose one. Does it really matter where you located to compensate for the map choice? Right now I'm leaning towards the Maxton map but I start to sway as I read these threads. I would like to pick the right one.

Let me add that I will be mostly riding locally and will crack the throttle under controled circumstances. Occasionally I will take it on long trip. When I take it to the track, I will change for that

went out sunday and butt dynoed all three maps, the street map is the tamest and gets best mileage, the track map is an improvement over the street but to me the maxton has the most punch, go with the track or the maxton, you will love it. if mileage is a concern the street is best. who gives a crap about mileage on a 14???
all this testing in pinellas county, fla
