Stand up guy on Bikeland!

A little while back, I purchased a whack of parts from Dubious; some new and some of which came off his '06 ZX14.

I bought his Trac swingarm and Ohlins rear setup, as well as a bunch of new parts. We made a deal and he assured me that the user parts were literally "as new". We've never met, but have spoken a few times. I sent him the money and to my chagrin, he had already sent out the parts, even before he got my money. I got he parts and had the chance to open them yesterday while at the dealer, who will be doing the installation.

The parts were exactly as Dubious said they were, in fact he even wrapped the swingarm in a bed sheet...(a 600 thread count I think -- )

All the parts were either in the condition he stated they were in, or better.

I just wanted to give him the heads-up here in the forums, and a big thanks!

He's one honest and fair dude. I'd buy from him anytime! Thanks Lyle -- much appreciated, and know that your parts will have a good home!

I think the Majority of the members here are on the up and up. When I sold a few things I list them as they are. I dont see why a member would sell a number of parts only to rip off Smokin for a set of wheels, maybe you will get a refund Smokin when he returns and has a say here. Its good to post a bad deal that has gone down to help protect us. No matter how small you think it may be. YEAH DUBIE!!!

hey, Thanks for the props Steve, and other guys!
The feelin is mutual.
Usually I get vibe off of people and have a pretty accurate feel for what they are about.

Honesty and integrity!
If you don't have that, then in the end , what have ya got?
What comes around goes around!

I was raised to treat ppl the same way i would like to be treated....
treat me otherwise though ...... LOL

Dubious is not indicitave of my character, except my dubious humour really.
It is VERY close to the spelling of my last name, and some years ago a guy at work saw my login on the computer, and some of the humerous antics / pranks i played at work and suddenly everyone started calling me dubious.
It has stuck for over 15 years now as a nickname.

I might have some more zx14 parts for sale real soon,
Will post them up in the classifieds, and a few of the guys who wanted fender brackets, I have a couple ready to ship!
just been busy.

I like the ppl here, and will be visiting often, no matter what i ride.
Besides, I have made almost enough friends to complete a trip from British Columbia to Florida! Gotta stay in touch! Eventually I will end up with a couple months off between contracts, and will be making a long ride! Cannonbal style of course! LOL

Wonder how many 2CT's it takes to travel North America?
Double that and I should be good! LOL

Oh, and if you see "dubious" any where else, its very likely me!
I use the same handle, except I had to use "dubious1" on occaission

I figure being honest and all, I don't need to hide under any other identity.

Glad you are happy Steve!
I am absolutely anal about quality, and my motorcycles....

Make sure to clean that chain real well before putting it on the dyno, they will hate you for an eternity if you grease their roller!

Thanks again!
Lyle

Well, I had the chance to ride the bike this week at Bikeweek...all I can say is "Awesome". Handling was not affected adversely by the 6" over Trac arm/stretch, in fact way better than the stock suspension, due to the Ohlins front and rear upgrade.

I can leave the stretch the way it is and still get down to the bead! Not bad for a big heavy pig like the ZX14!

I'm amazed!
