4-2-1 design or 4-1 design?

I was wondering what the difference between the two. What are the advantages and disadvantages of going either way. Also what is Brock's System classified as for the Zx-14. I have recently heard Tsukigi full 4-1 and it sounded fantastic. Still up against the wall for what exhaust to go with.

Brocks is 4-2-1 and from what i have seen the 4-2-1 wins over a 4-1 system with better power over the complete power curve...

4 into 1 is built for big motors and top end. Look at all the Pro Stock Motorcycles; if 4-2-1 delivered more power for them at the strip everyone would be using one.

my 14 ran the best 120mph in the 1/8th mile with the Tsukigi, 125mph with the Alien Head. you make the call.

Exact same conditions on those comparisions?

I've dyno'd both on the same bike, same day, same fuel, same map with no difference in hp.

Basically that is the primary difference.

Yes.

Wee, if you put a shortened mid pipe and can on the Tsukigi to match the same overall exhaust length of the Alien head you'll see more than 120 mph.

If the weather conditions were different then the 120 vs 125mph is apples and oranges.

Anyone have any pics or have dyno'd this system????? I like the support from brock but just want to be a little different. Right now it's between the tsukigi system or brock.... That map support is great indeed.

That is fine if you keep your bike at 11000 rpm but we don't so the 4-2-1 is a better choice ..We are talking street bikes remember..

tsukigi system is very good , if you look at the head pipes they look much like brocks pipes ...The difference is in the can and mid pipe..

If you are just street riding the bike and not trying to get the very last HP out of the bike the tsukigi will be just fine ...If street riding is what you do i don't think you would ever tell or feel the difference in power ...Where Brock pipe shines is in the strip , his pipe is built to take into account the ram air ...The two pipes may make the same HP sitting still on the dyno but on the track you will go faster with Brocks pipe .. Remember we don't race dynos ..

Here is a Tsukigi, like Smokin said, it perfect street use and works on the track but, i haven't seen the 1/4mile numbers out of it like Brocks Smeg or Alien is getting.
Havent heard of too many drag racers out there with his gen3 pipe on their bike.
I dont know what the hp difference is between Smeg&Alien vs Gen3. Anyone have that info.

I think it is a given that a megaphone can makes better power then a traditional oval can!! WIth that being said I dont think there is a better looking pipe out there then a Tsukigi and they are very HIGH QUALITY!!!!!! and Chip will be no slouch on helping you out if you get one as well. It comes down to what you want the bike to do.

Smeg makes about 5hp more than the Gen3. The Alien Head makes 2-3hp more than the Smeg.

The TiForce on my 14 is 4 into 1, good peak power of 192.9 rwbhp (STD) with just the exhaust and a PCIII. The figures speak for themselves, a best top speed of 205.4mph and nine times over 200....... so far.
