"Ninja" decal removal?
I'd like to remove the "Ninja" decal on the front fairing of my '08. It appears to just be slapped-on vinyl, not clear-coated or anything, so is there any trick to removing them?
Thanks in advance,
Johnny

The easiest way I've removed decals from plastics is with a heat gun

+1, then some m3 adhesive remover, for the remaining glue.

Once you get the decal off you can also use WD40 for the glue...comes off in seconds.

didn't need a heat gun. I heated it up and made a mess. Try it in a cool garage & then hit it with WD40. The heat I applied made them come off in peices. Peel them while they are cool and stick them on your tool box

Pulled them off today - Heat was key, maybe because we had a chilly (60 degrees-ish) day today. Kind of a PITA, not enough heat and they came off in little shreds, too much heat and the decal stretched and ripped. WD-40 took off the adhesive residue. (Thanks for that tip!)
Thanks for all the help-

glad it worked out! hey can you post some pics of the after?
I like bikes better with no decals, although of course each decal adds 2-3 HP~!
