Cool,
I need something like that for my ATV.
Went from 7.9 to 11.5 compression, new cams and valve springs, and extended redline from 7000 to 9000 RPM and it blows oil out everywhere.
I just never got around to plumbing a catch tank yet, these look like a better idea.

Appears to prevent crank pressure, and yet knock out the oil vapour!

I read the R1 forums...pertains to my APEX snowmobile. So lots of the R1 guys run this, or a version of it.

Thats a hardly problem.Even the 08s do it.Been doing it since 1909..I see the price hasn't come down for a fancy PCV valve..

hi
yes think i know what you are talking about, as i have carried out this mod
removed pipe from crankcase vent to airbox, and pipe from reed valves on valve cover from air box, and connected a pipe direct from the crankcase vent , to a y piece, and to the rocker cover
also removed the solonoid valve , and fitted a resister to fool the ecu into thinking it was still there to prevent going onto a safe mode map
on dyno seems to have shown a 3 hp gain on my tuned engine

What kind or size resistor did you use?yho did you hook it up? I was thinking of removing the solenoid also ,But knew that if i disconnected the solenoid it would set a code.

Art,
I didn't quite get this.
Basically you plugged the air box PCV hole, and routed the crankcase vent to the air injection port for the exhaust?

cool thanks,
mine has had a slight stumble at idle, as well as idling around the block at very low throttle positions below 2000 rpm

hi
before i fitted the resister, when the engine was in neutral. revving the engine quickly to around 6.000 revs was producing black smoke out the ex, and dissappeared as soon as the resister was fitted, and that would explain the poor running low down

hi
here is my crank vent pics, turned the right angle bend 180 degrees , on the vent outlet, more room to get the pipe up this side of the engine, and in second pic you can just see red loop of 20 ohm resister wire over the secondary throttle butterfly steeper motor
