NEW YEAR'S DAY RIDE - FL

as posted on a local forum. I attended this ride in the past, its awesome, lets ride:

**1.1.08 - 7th Annual Seductive Cycles New Years Day Ride**
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The ride of all rides! Bring in the new year doing what we all love.

I'm not going to put in a big description (I'll let the people who have been on this ride before do that) but I will say your not going to want to miss it.

We're going to stop somewhere for a late lunch (and maybe dinner too  )

Meeting:

7-11 off Fletcher & 56th st. @11:00am. Be gassed up and ready to go by 11:30.

The ride was A BLAST. I posted pics up in the smackhouse. Dave you missed out on this one. We split into several smaller groups according to rider skills and we blistered the roadways. Other than 1 bike down and guy breaking a collar bone in the twisties, and 3 people getting speeding tickets it was a GREAT all day ride!

sounds like a few careless squids attended along with the seasoned riders, no tickets or broken collarbones for me on new years

in the front group actually we were all cornering and pushing the bikes real hard and one went down. And I won't say the fast group was riding in triple digits, but I will say we deserved more than 3 speeding tickets for the day

Man Steve, you are riding the heck out that R1. How does that bike compare riding 2 up(compared to the ZX14)?

I haven't tried 2 up yet, most women I ride with have their own bikes. but it can't be as comfortable as the 14. But funny you bring that up, the one thing I didn't like about the 14 was the 4 screws to get that cowl off!

True, true but between my son, girlfriend, and family it's always off. Seems that I always have someone strapped to the back. I've only put my cowl on once for a 5hr ride but then took it off the next day when my son wanted to ride w/dad(he loves that bike and it hasn't even been moded yet).I'm with you though, Kawasaki should have designed it more convenient to remove/replace the cowl.
