The bracket is more water resistant than the LCD screen. It does not interfere with the lights when your drag racing or the straight view. I have worked on airplane engines and am certified in all the metals, so what I did is I allowed a slight tweaking on the back bar to allow a little bit of adjustment up or down for the bracket. What I have done with the bracket, is it is already pre-bent to where we set it at which allows good access and viewing through the windshield and the gas gauge. Also it does not obscure the rev limitor light. I put it on my bike to test the bracket and I am very pleased with it. Everyone that has seen this bracket setup for the ZX14 on my bike has been impressed. Also the lockable bracket will secure your memory card which is a plus in itself.

FYI, my fiance is a paralegal who works for a large firm here in the area. She is in the process of working on the paperwork for the patent. If it was not good enough for my bike, i wouldn't have bothered even trying to manufacture it nonetheless going through the process to patent it, as it is a very expensive process.

Maybe i should have said my aftermarket shift light, also when in full duck say 1/2 track that would be in the line of sight. Ok for street use,i guess.

I have the steering dampener, which is why I designed the Dyno-Bracket. I reach speeds of 190 and its stable. How much did you pay for your bracket and how long did it take to install it? Would it be easy for someone to try and remove it off your bike? I have not looked at this bracket just would like to know.

Thank you for the comment. I was just looking for something that I wouldn't have to worry about my LCD screen and memory card being stolen.

i think i paid 65 for the techmount on e-bay, the lcd is held on with velcro,it is solid. nobody ever stole my lcd yet, but i would not leave my bike in a place where i would worry about it. to pull the techmount off would take a concerted effort, it mounts solidly in the hole in your steering column with rubber o-rings, i put a little vaseline on the rings prior to installation so it wouldn't get stuck. the lcd fits in my riding jacket pocket if i was worried about it. i don't worry about it because nobody around here would mess with someones bike. maybe its being in the south but folks respect bikes around here. hell you know if someone wants anything bad enough its gone.

I had mine velcroed before but living here in West Palm Beach near Miami, there is a lot of theft. As a matter of fact I am going to the Miami game tomorrow and I don't feel like taking the LCD screen with me and lugging it around with me in my pocket. Which I have done that for over a year. Thanks for the information.

i don't want to change out my oem windshield to mount my lcd, i think mounting it that high puts in in your critical field of view, and like i said if they want it they will take it ,that lock is not cryptonite.

With an alien head modification I have no problem whipping an R1's ass.

When it comes to threads, I can create the best threads, you should know that by now.

The guy in the R1 won't be over till later tonight. I am renting the pay per view fight. All I know is that he is still riding his Honda for his R1 still needs a clutch replacement since it went out when we were at the track last.

Experience no visual obstructions to your LCD Screen, Gas Gauge and Double Bubble windshield. At 185 looking down at the LCD Screen, is a very difficult task but I have a clear view of my calibration and rpm's. At this speed, having to look down would take your eyes off the road. I know the lock is not cryptonite but it beats velcro anyday.

Thank you for your information, everyone has a different opinion and has different tastes, but i respect your opinion anyways.

RIdeharder,if you removed the LCD and the lock you have securing it, does the remaining part of the brocket still exposes itself? I like the look of it but if I wanted to remove the lock and LCD will that area be clear again(minus taking everything apart)? I can't see the whole bracket and how it mounts from the pics.
