OK ,got that figured out.

A little background....... No, it isn't my first bike. Been riding since 1973, with a few years off when I became obsessed with boating (much more expensive!). I also have a Valkyie Interstate for 2 up riding. I traded a 2001 FZ1 for the ZX-14. Working my way thru the break-in period. Actually going to have the 1st service done today (just under 600 miles). Under 4,000rpm, the bike is mellow, but I am barely openning the throttle. Now running to 6,000rpm, it is not much different than the FZ1 (still not grabbing a handful of throttle).

I have noticed the bike running cooler once past 200 miles. I should be getting the Two Bros. slip-ons this week. They had to be redesigned for the 08's. Why no full system? I don't see the benefit for me. This bike doesn't need anymore hp for me and my riding. Flys out? Probably not. And this is from a guy that just sold a 600hp Chevelle. Go figure.

That's all for now.

Concrats.....Enjoy your new 14. The flys out mod is less an issue with the '08s. The subs open faster than on early models. The slip ons are a nice mod, if only to get a little more sound out of them. I rarely get cut off with my S-meg wailing, with stock pipes it was like I had a target on my back

Hey, another old time Valker here, got the 06 Zx14 when it first hit the dealers. Just added a C14 for a stablemate. The 2K Blue/Silver Valk I/S is not getting the attention it deserves these days. Love that Dark Metallic Blue, mine is the Candy Thunder Blue. I broke both the ZX and Connie in fairly hard, and have not had any glitches at all. The ZX loves Brocks stuff, and sounds awesome. Congrats and welcome, keep us posted when the farkling starts.
