Best shorty pipes?

Hey guys,
Just picked up my new 08' 14! Love the bike, unfortunatley I am stuck in winter conditions that has hindered my riding which leads me to my question for modifying my bike over the winter. I am in between Muzzy's M10 and the shorty pipes. Obviously I know I can't go wrong with Muzzy on the R& D dept however I do like the look of the shorty's:

example: Voo doo industries

I believe Boz bros., tailwindz make similar applications. Does anyone have any experience they can share on the above? I don't want to get stuck with a "poor" performing pipe...Thanks!

Mack,

As everyone has said Brock is the way to go. The other shorty pipes produce about 10 HP and Brock's are in the neighborhood of 15 - 20 HP.

Brocks is the way to go especially as far as map support BUT unlike I used to say, I think you will be just as happy with the performance of the new Muzzy pipes the M10 and the new X14 (which I dont think are out yet) but as far as performance and CUSTOMER SUPPORT get the Brocks I would recommend the ALien head it is proven to make more power than the SMEG and it looks better... Man I hope no one accusing me of being a Muzzy lover LOL but I have heard good things about the new X14 pipe from people that I trust but I would stay away from the traditional canister syle muzzy unless budget is a key concern. Hope this helps.

he was asking about the Muzzy compared to true "shorty" bling pipes. His example was voodoo, here is a pic

Mac, If you're looking for pure power then go with Brock's Alien Head 4-1 full system. It's not a shorty pipe but it is one of the shorter styles out there. It also looks & sounds great too. If you want a little more power, with a great look & sound in a slip-on system be patient... A new Alien Head dual slip-on kit may be on the way soon. E-mail Brock for more details on them. And if you just love the low mounted drag style slip-ons like I do then take a shot at building your own. Nothing like having a one of a kind exhaust system on the fastest motorcycle in the world. PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send you some pics & how-tos.

Arata have a nice shorty pipes as an option, I cut mine down with a hack saw and re-packed. Dyno said I gained almost 5hp and it sounds deeper.

Marcusleck, What is the length of the canister itself now that you have shortened it? Looks good!
