San Antonio, Trilby Ride
Took Monday off and went for a ride north and east up 75 to 52. Remembered some roads I knew back in the early 80s. Roads winding through areas of orange groves, hills, and pastures and the occasional sleepy town. The temps were in the low 80s and it was too warm for a jacket. Just a Bikeland short sleeve was all I needed. The Pilot Powers stuck in every corner and I even achieved low orbit over the tops of a few hills. Then I headed east to Weeki Wachi and the Bayport Inn for a few cold ones on deck near the grass flats on the Gulf. Rode out to the little beach and then back down Shoal Line through Aripeka on the way back to Largo. It was a beautiful day, and the 14 didn't miss a beat, great handling and smoothness made 200 miles a pleasure.
