PPG may have it on file, if not you could pick up a small part off of eBay and take it in and let them scan it with the computer. You can also get the paint from colorrite.com, salty but dead on. Lastly, Kaw did make some changes to the color on 05 I believe, don't quote me on that date though.

there are some variations on the lime green. I know my 2003 zx12 is different from the zx10. Even the zx10 changed to a brighter green...not sure what year the change was. My local dealership used colorite of a bright lime green zx10...not sure what year. I plan on painting mine green when I get back to the states next year.

Wheelie, when you get that # from Crash, could you post it up? Like I said, I'm not waiting for Kawi to sell me a 14 with green plastics, I'll do it myself when I get back.

thanks!

Dont worry fellas I will post the numbers here. They will be formula numbers that you can take to anybody who has a PPG mixing machine (with current updates) and have it mixxed. I will be at work in a couple hours and post them then. I will give you all the Kawi greens that we have even the candy.

2003 lime green zx12 is actually the color I'm looking for. It was a little darker than the really bright green on the newer zx10s.

Thanks in a big way!

2000 candy lime green ZX12R and ZRX
PPG Deltron DBC
402637 base
402637/2 mid coat

2004- lime green (very fine pearle, looks solid) hardly noticable except in certain light, my personal fav. I beleive this is the ZX10R color, not possitive.
PPG Global BC
908253

2000- lime green (no metalic or pearle) This is most likely the most common.
PPG Global BC
401986

The zx12r 2003 lime green I am still working on to cross over, more later.................

The colors listed above are not model specific, I can only give you my personal experiance.

I could not be certain unless I compared a color to a bike but I really think the 2004- 908253 is it.

The LE 2008 is just a normal Kawi color with flat clear over it instead of gloss. Is it black metallic?

Thanks Crash.

Damn that Green on that 10 is beautiful. I gotta stick with the Green that was on my 12 though. It truely stirs my soul!

The guys at my local shop had their 14 painted with the above green----it looks bad ass. I was jealous, but I think mine will look even better when I get home. I'll also be sticking with the flat black on the lowers.

So the 08 LE flat black is just a flat clear over a kawi black color? Hmmm, that sounds goofy...

I looked at the colorrite chart, and it says its metallic flat black spark... and it says it doesnt require a clear coat... is that right?

Your first mistake was looking to colorrite..........No, If you look at an 08 the decals on the tank are claered in for gas protection (as are all bike tanks). If it is the spark black I use Chrysler code XR darker furmula for that color. I ,they use a flat clear over like the pewter zx10, candy blue zx6. Flat clear has become very popular in the last few years (even by Harley). If there was no clear how would the metallics be protected?

Goofy?? I guess all manufacturers have been that way for years. The oldest bike I have done was a 1974 Kawasaki H2, they were cleared over originally (with gloss of cource).
