Just curious about any headway here? I'm surprised there hasn't been any updates or inquiries in 3 weeks and this is on page 5. I'm hoping that Brock's 14 will kick the 'busa. Doesn't it seem like it is taking a while? Perfection takes time?

My guess is that someone is way busy Kissin Suzies ass. That's where the money is, so you really can't blame em. If you read through one of the Busa chronicles, you'll probly get the same idea.
Just a thought.

Interestingly, I emailed Jason Gillum (our Bikeland "contact" at Brock) on Weds, 30 Jan. about the existence of a "shorty" Gen 3 and got back the answer "Our Gen3 exhaust pipes are only available, as of now, in the 20" muffler configuration."
Yesterday (Mon. 04 Feb.) I found this on Brock's site!!
"Shorty Generation 3 StreetSmart Exhaust System with Carbon Fiber Muffler-Kawasaki -ZX-14 (06-08) This StreetSmart package comes with a 14 inch long Carbon Fiber Oval Race Muffler."
My question is whether Jason didn't know it was coming, or if Bikeland ZX-14 members aren't "special" anymore??????????
Stictly speaking, his answer was accurate, just not complete, IMHO.

lucky14,
Please call my office and speak to Jason 937-912-0054
YES- we have ZX-14 shorty systems available!
There is a small problem with our logo plate for this system...it's too large (strap hangs over the plate) and we do not have the smaller versions in stock, yet. But...if you would like to order now, no problem.
As far as the rest of the updates; we recently moved into an 11K ft facility which has undergone MAJOR renovations over the last couple of months which has taken all of my time. We are feverishly working to organize our warehouse in preparation for another huge year and we are moving our research and development operation from our pervious location(s) completely in house. Once this is finished we will be able to create new products in a timelier manner and have better control over our inventory to help prevent backorders and delays in manufacturing.
Additionally, we are in Ohio...it is STILL snowing. Proper testing requires a dyno AND race track as one is useless without the other as far as I am concerned. We have BIG plans for the 08 ZX-14 and the Busa as soon as the weather breaks and we can do it right....until then you will simply have to wait. Sorry.

Hey Brock and Co.: have you heard about Kawi's 250hp jet ski? I couldn't confirm that it was based on the zx14 engine, but that has always been Kawasaki's big bore trend with Jet Ski's. Obviously the boost pressure would have to drop a bit since a air to water intercooler is way more efficient than the usual air to air. But still! From what I've heard (havent driven one of the HO models yet myself), its smooth seamless power all the way up. Sounds like a perfect engine for a "Super 14" you think? Could even market a 'drag kit' with a longer arm, air shifter, clutch kit, etc. with a optional 25-50hp nitrous kit for cooling the air if you want to bump it up to around 16psi. A true 350+ hp engine that I would imagine could last an entire race season - or longer.
Might be worth looking into with your Kawi connections. Just gotta make sure the top end and internals are a viable bolt-on to the standard zx14 lower end. Or if its too bulky, maybe a "Super Concourse" kit. Just tossing out ideas...

The Ultra 250x is actually based off of the ZX-12R motor, but punched to 1500cc with a supercharger and intercooler. Probably way too big to put on a ZX-14. I'll try to dig out a pic of the engine.

no luck Hawkman, I'm not registered and pics arent visible. Before you say it is too bulky, remember some lunatic was able to put a 16 cylinder radial A/C engine into a bike, not to mention those V-10 viper engine powered bikes. A supercharger and intercooler should be a piece of cake! As long as its going into a zx12 I guess...
Anyone want to trade me a high mileage ZX12 for my low mileage ZX14? Not!

Beleive me, there is no such thing as a low maintinace 250x. They run there ass off when they are running, As far as it being based on a 12 motor, well maybe the internals but not much is interchangable. Don't get me wrong i like the ski's but if you had to keep it running longer than two seasons' if your lucky" look out you are about to become seperated from some serious cash. That said i wish we had ski's like these when i was in the navy.. bill...

Again...I don't think this whole setup can be put onto a ZX-14.

Dang guess that engine mounts longitudinally doesnt it? That would make it a bit difficult, unless you were able to make it a shaft drive. Damn, that sucks. Just wonder if that blower could be modified easily to hook to a 14? Considering Brock has a machine shop and talent, I wonder... OK, OK, I'll let my brilliant idea die. Its all this damn rain and snow getting to me! Bill is right, need to get racing weather again.
