$305 for a USB PCIII not bad at all. I will be getting one next year to go with the flies out. My only question is: will it give me any topend power? I know I'll get the bottom end flies out increase, and have to have the PCIII to make it work right, but have any of you noticed a noticeable increase on top end? I have Two Brothers slip-ons, and a high flow filter will be installed soon, too. (ya, I know, 'go Brocks Gen III', but all in time). The Two Brothers were only $200 used on Ebay...

How about lending me that $275 until income tax return time then? lol just kidding! I overspent this Christmas, way more than normal. Will take a few months until the wife detracts her claws from my wallet long enough to squeeze it out. Need a Jaws of Life for that grip!

hahahahahhaha I shoulda bet money on that!!! IF they ever managed to get around the smog police for those first miles, they would be braggin up a storm about it and everyone would know it.

Nope, it's simply a matter of everything breaking in around the same time, freeing up those hidden horses through less mechanical and hydraulic drag. And of course the rings seating finally. Mine took just a tick over 2000 miles of mostly freeway riding (after the 'hard' breakin I gave it) before it started noticeably running better. The biggest thing I noticed was it stopped nearly overheating every time I came to a stop. Reduce your friction, reduce your engine heat... and set a few horses free!

They just got their 08 in and they'll have a map in a short time. They shipped my sprockets and PCIII today...can't wait!

I'd also imagine that the lean popping on decel is gone, since the flies are partially open now in all the gears at low RPM and it's been mapped that way from factory.

It's still going to pop on decel when you get a map from Brock. The 14 just does that.

well ive got 16k miles and my 14 (flies out, alien head exhaust, power commander) pulls as hard as ever!!!

With the alien head, bogs a little at low RPM when takin off at a good speed, then pulls like a lion on a chain!!!

This is from our latest "contact us on ZX-14" list:

Hello all,

I wanted to let you know that our 2008 ZX-14 just arrived Friday directly from KMC-USA! We have named this bike Diary 2 (or D2 for short).

We plan to document the progress of Kawasaki's latest killer in the same fashion as we did with our 2006 ZX-14 Diary 1 machine from completely stock to outfitted with a full line of bolt-on products. These results will be published on www.dragbike.com, and on our BrocksPerformance.com website.

We have many new ideas and products in the works, but I'm going have to leave you hanging on these for now...sorry (sort of). Also, for those of you who may not be aware, AMA Dragbike (formerly AMA/Prostar) has opened up the rules in the SuperSport class for 2008 to allow the big bore bikes (ZX-14's and Busa's) to compete against the 1000's. Street bike based classes like this force manufacturers to create products and develop technologies which can be used to produce faster bikes without disrupting reliability. We took a break from the 1000 SuperSport classes in 2007 after winning back to back national championships in 2005 and 2006. Of course, we are already ALL OVER the big bore changes for the 2008 race season.

2008 ZX-14 Arrives in snowstorm!

As you can see from the attached shot, our weather is not exactly perfect for placing break-in miles on Diary 2 in the same fashion as Diary 1. We are settling into our new location and our state of the art Dynojet 250I (with every conceivable option) should be here next week. It is a very busy time for us here, but I wanted to let the ZX-14 crowd know that we are not sitting around making snow angels!

I will keep you posted on the progress.

Brock

Brock, are you gonna do the DYNO testing for the 08 ZX14on the same DYNO as the 08 BUSA?

Just would like an apples t apples test so we don't have 50 million ZUK owners complaining about the numbers coming on a NEW DYNO. Or give us the numbers of the BUSA and 14 on the same new 250I DYNOjet.

Thanks

Our current dyno is stop number one for the new 14...since we still have the Busa in house-look for a same dyno/same day/same hour etc.
