zx14 engine

Hi Guys,

I have a race car currently fitted with a 2003 ZX12 engine and am looking at buying a ZX14 to fit in it. I have found one in the US and just need to know one thing before I buy it and have it shipped to Malta where I live. Do US models have any sort of restrictions in the ECU compared to European models due to emmissions etc.?????

I would appreciate any replies as I am quite concerned on this topic....

Cheers.

Not as such, the only restriction is the American riders.

LOL

No not restricted like models from France, but all have limited low RPM torque and HP which you will want to circumvent, by removing the secondary throttle plates, and having a new map installed for the associated low rpm lean A/F ratio after doing so.

I think its great you are running Kaw motors, you should really consider green as a car color. The paint job alone would make you go faster.

Warning: The prior statement has not yet been evaluated by the FDA.

Cheers for the info. guys.

Latest I've heard is that the California models are restricted quite a bit electronically....can anyone confirm this???

Jarhead, to tell you the truth I was seriously considering the green paint job!!!!!! Maybe next year!!
