. Millenium tends to chamfer the bottom of the bore a little too much and this reduces the skirt support at BDC. They do this to aide in installing the pistons, it makes it easier but at the cost of skirt support.
If you have them bore and replate the cylinder ask them not to touch the bottom of the bore at all even after rebore. You will gain about .040" or so more very needed skirt support.
Good luck.
Don't know if this will be a concern with the zx14 case design.
Also remember the case bore/replate is not included in the Muzzy 1530 kit price.

I would like to address the belief that stroker engines can cause the bearings to spin because of increased piston velocities. This may be true if you plan to rev the engine beyond a certain point. I believe the new Busa has the rev limiter lowered on its bike, which has a 65mm stroke, the same as a 4mm stroke for the ZX14. If Suzuki produces and warranties this bike I wouldn't see any problem. As far as stroking a GSXR1000 that revs to 12500 or so that might be tricky business. This buildup might be worthwhile if you were willing to do the labor yourself
The other issue is supposed overheating that this would cause I don't know if anyone ever reads the service manual here is an excerpt.
"The
thermostat continuously changes its valve opening to keep the coolant temperature at the proper level.
When coolant temperature is less than 55°C (131°F), the thermostat closes so that the coolant flow
is restricted through the air bleeder hole, causing the engine to warm up more quickly. When coolant
temperature is more than 58 ∼ 62°C (136 ∼ 144°F), the thermostat opens and the coolant flows.
When the coolant temperature goes up beyond 95°C (203°F), the radiator fan relay conducts to operate
the radiator fan. The radiator fan draws air through the radiator core when there is not sufficient
air flow such as at low speeds. This increases up the cooling action of the radiator. When the coolant
temperature is below 90°C (194°F), the fan relay opens and the radiator fan stops. "
Car thermostats open at 190 degrees F so this engine is always running cool by comparison. So if the fan is not running the engine is cool regardless of the bars on the display.

Muzzy has a 1418cc kit. I talked with Muzzy and they said degree your stock cams for higher rpm, headwork with there valve springs and you should see 210HP to 215HP. I think it would be the best for street/strip.
