Those with a SMEG

How much decelleration (POP) do you get. Yes I installed the plug in the air line. I test rode it at night and it would get a good 6" flame during moderate decell, 6K or so. Didnt do it but maybe once while coming down, wasnt extremely loud, but noticable.

Do you get a slight header (POP) at low RPM's. Kinda like a V8 with a cam and headers. It almost give the impression of a slight exhaust leak but its not. I think its due to the thin wall headers?

reward69,

Go to Kawi's website and bring up the parts diagram for the zx-14; select the Cylinder Head diagram; look at part number 92171 (clamp around throttle bodies); tighten the four screws.

I had the same problem with my Gen 3. Brock sent me a pick of the diagram. He's had several people with the same issue of those clamps not being tight enough from the factory. Mine will now only pop on hard decel, which Brock suggest to avoid.

I have the Smeg. I wouldn't change the pop for nothing. I know that everytime it's popping, it's shooting out flames, so don't get too close. That's what I tell all my co-riders who are riding behind my bike and when we stop they be saying, "Man, your bike was spitting out blue flames". I Love It! It's not a problem at all.
