Anyone know what brand of ECU the 14 uses?
I've been working with PetriK and he figured out how to grab the maps out of a newer 32 bit busa ECU. Also a guy in Australia used the same method on an Suzuki SV1000 and another guy in Europe used it on a Kawasaki Z1000.
So it looks like most of the older/newer Denso ECUs are reprogrammable. I'm wondering is the ZX-14 ECU made by Denso or is it a Mitsubishi like the ZX-10s

That is too bad.
The Mitsubishi uses the same CPU as the Denso, at least the ZX-10 does, but it does not have the programming plug on the circuit board that can be used to flash it.

BTW speaking of throttle butterflys and ECUs just thought I would give you a look of things to come...
I was talking to a guy who opened up a new Yamaha R6 ECU. It is a true 'fly' by wire setup. The current setup, as used on the zx-14 is a primary throttle plate linked by cable to the throttle grip on the handlebar and a secondary throttle plate connected to a servo controlled by the ECU, the infamous rip those suckers out 'flys'
The new R6 HAS A SINGLE SERVO DRIVEN THROTTLE Thats right, there is no physical connection between the throttle body and the handlebar grip. You are twisting a TPS only!!!!
Bastards
To all of you who have cursed those secondary flies and wished they weren't there all I can say is be careful what you wish for
