OK, for those who missed it, I'll type more slowly this time.

1. There is no troll - this was clearly a copy and paste by me from H.org - I said so.

2. I thought that the title and the alternate title would set the tone for the post.

3. "14 owners - we are DOOMED!!!" was meant to be a joke.

4. I owned an 06 14 until I traded it for an 08 14, which I have had for a month now and love it! Both the 14 and the Busa were available at the same price.
I DID NOT "settle" for the 14 - I CHOSE the 14.

Look where BusaGuy picked his fight: 6th gear from 60 mph to 150 mph (indicated which would be maybe 140 actual).

Think about it. For the 14, that is starting at about 3000 rpm and racing to maybe 7000 rpm. Is that the range you would pick to race anyone? I thought not. It seems possible that he DID pull on the 14 in this range, but who cares?

Now, as for the 2nd gear roll from a 60 punch. Who knows what happened there, but it is interesting that BusaGuy had the little twist in the story where he had to let off because of the wheely, and still beat the 14 badly.

I don't get mad at the stories. It is after all the Internet, and it provides entertainment!

It's only 40 hp ....... but hit it in the middle of 3rd gear will pull the front wheel
with her 16/43 gearing.

Well, she did it in 3rd when she hit the juice. By 4th she was really covering some ground.

I did'nt see the wheel come up in 4th. I may have to try it myself and see .....

I would like to add, Who give a rats ass about a feakin roll on?

I have not riddin the 08 Busa and if I know Suzuki it is probably a great machine. The transmission is probably like butter, just like the prior Busa's but first, its a bike not a Lexus as long as the tranny stays together, my 14 can clunk as hard as it wants. The good thing is I am never guessing if it went into gear or not.

From a dead stop with a tree is how I compare bikes, the numbers don't lie.

Some of the best riders in the world ride Busa's, that accounts for a few hundred of the fifty thousand on the road. I guess that leaves forty nine thousand dip shits that give the bike its stigma.

rollons are for antiperspirants. with an 18/43 stock gearing the zuk would have a clear advantage over the 17/40 kaw esp when still limited with the sec. flies. all that would be negated with a standing 1/4 mile and on. if your going to play, don't cheat...

DISCLAIMER: It's NOT me! I just copied and pasted, minus the smiley faces.............

Here's a new story from the same thread.
Nice wirteup by a non-biased Busa rider!
OK, who believes that it really happened?

I just got to meet a couple guys at a bike night..one with an 08 busa...the other an 08 14...both bone stock...and both guys willing to run them hard. We did some drop your choice of gears and go rolls...some lower rpm rolls...and some high rpm rolls. In the drop and go both bikes left me equally on my modded 04 busa. And they stayed equal till the upper end where the 14 pulled very slightly. The slower rpm rolls me and the 08 busa both pulled the 14 till the r's came up...then the 14 walked me and at the top end started to again gain slightly on the 08 busa. On the high rpm rolls it was the worst for me..both the other bikes just plain walked away...I had no chance .....the other 2 were almost dead even till the 14 once again very slightly started to pull top end. It was very cool to meet 2 good riders who didn't mind running their new bikes hard. No hard feelings...no ego's...just guys on a quiet straight backroad running some fast bikes they way they should be ran...and having a ball. Of course they now both have mods planned and a rematch...which means I might just go the sneaky small nos bottle under the hump mod...or just watch .......damn I hate being slow
