I Rode an amazing zx-14 - The Sequel!

My friend Henry who bought an 08 14 about the same time as I did my 08 busa wanted to finally challenge the 08 busa to some rollons. First I must say the silver 08 14 is a beautiful bike. I never cared for the looks of the 14 but the silver is really nice. He and I weigh about the same weight 190 lbs. and are both accomplished riders.....FIRSTPULL:sixth gear 60 to 150. Busa by 7-8 bike lengths. Henry said I pulled him hard initally then He said He stayed with me from 120-150. SECONDPULL: second gear 60 to 150. Busa by 6-7 bike lengths. I thought this was impressive because I chopped my throttle a little as I wheeled initally when I cracked the throttle in second.{this busa is for sure faster than my 02 model} Next we switched bikes First of all this 08 14 is as smooth as my 08 busa. I think the seating position is a little more comfortable as well. With that said the busa is much bettor in the twisties, shifts more positively and smoother, easier to get out of the wind, and has bettor throttle response......FIRSTPULL: Me on the 14 Henry on the Busa, 60 to 150 sixth gear. Busa by 7-8 bike lengths. 08 14 IS "GOOEY" untill 6000 rpms then it pulls hard. We elected not to do the second gear 60-150 because of the busa wheeling and Henry did not feel comfortable doing that on someone elses bike. Henry agreed that the busa is a stronger bike stock, but he wants to do this again when there both modded. Also of note we both agreed the 14 has bettor brakes. SO FELLOWS IF A DUDE ON A STOCK 14 PULLS UP AND WANTS TO RACE YOU ON YOUR 08 BUSA I BELIEVE YOU'LL DO JUST FINE.

Yup i read that little story over at Busa land ...... I can't wait till some dood on an 08 Busa trys that with me .... It's going to be one unhappy day for that Busa guy ....
There is another thread over there where the guys with 08 busas were going to the track to kill all zx14s ...Guess what happened >> That's right the 08 busa got his ass handed to him by two 06 zx14s ..That thread died a fast death ...lol...

I am so sick of this shit....all i can say is that if i see a new busa going down the road,track,ect....I am gonna race him and smoke his ass and then i am gonna post a huge thread about it in every forum on the net, hell thats what suzuki riders do(minus a few on here sorry guys). How come you never see a thread about a busa getting smoked by a 14, cause i know i have done it several times!!! Its sad when someone's thrown is challenged.

heres the thing; all this crap from busa owners is simply sour grapes and insecurity. if the gbusa was all that, theuy would stick to the busa site. eversince gadson blew off a turboed busa in a non turboed zx14; the shytte keeps coming.
i love my zx14; i coulda bought a busa for a grand less; i bought the 14 because it is unique. the busa dealer near me cringes every time i come in the lot.
dont get me wrong, i like the busa and its a fine machine; but dont get all fuked up because the 14 is faster than the busa; if you wanna extoll the virtues of the busa ; you might try the busa site..............cause we dont give a shytte

The 14's torque and hp is limited in the low rpms. (flys in) If your running 60 then slam it in 1st and wack um then see what happens, whole different story. Who in the hell gives a shit about roll ons, on yea cruser people. 1965 chevelle 327/411 munce 4 speed will kill a new vette in a roll on, in the 1/4 mile the vette will tear it a new one. I tryed both and for some reason I bought the 14. Make that a lot of reasons.

06 zx14 same gear ratio as the Busa 08 was able to pull on him from third....fourth gear walked away.. fifth gear slow pull was 2 1/2 bike in front of Busa.. the most pull was in fourth gear... gear ratio 18 41...

This thread makes complete sense to me, I remember when I had the flies in my bike I couldnt beat my wifes jeep in a roll on. There is no doubt in my mind that a busa will destroy a stock ZX14 in a roll on, but remove the flies and I think it is gonna be very close. There are a couple of 08 busas here in town that are already piped and pc'ed and stretched and I just laugh at em when they pull up next to me at a redlight. Of course I dont tell them about the motor work they always say "it must be the air shifter" turn that off and I will walk off and leave you.. SO I turn it off and again easy money. the new busa is definately a fast bike though it is for sure faster then an 06 07 14 no doubt about it. I dont think you can go wrong with either bike. I couldnt own the busa for one cause I would never hear the end of it around here as I am one of kawi's biggest cheerleaders that and I cant get over that tail, I think if they would have fixed that the busa is a better looking bike then the 14 but that tail ruins it...

i think this thread is relebant , my favorite times are at kcir; where on a good nite , the busas and 14's bikes go real slow and then jump on it on a roll on; very interesting and lots of fun; just like this thread
