ignition module extra 500 revs

hi
just recieved my power commander ignition module and an going to send off for the unlock code from them to increase rev limit another 500revs
have just had the crank and rods balanced and crank webs knife edged, j&e 13.5-1 pistons fitted 18 gms lighter than std, carpenter racing billet cams, and stronger and lighter valve spring kit with tit retainers, and modded zx12r cam chain tensioner
so should be no problem with the extra 500revs , so will be interesting to see if this package continues to make extra hp after the std 11000 rev limit
will post some pics of conversion soon

Just curious after peak hp rating of the stock motor starts to drop off well before red line..why would gaining 500 more rpms change that... won't it still peak at the same revs...Or does adding those mods raise the peak higher in the rev range...Thanks Art looking foward to pics also are you going to dyno it, If so send comparison..

hi
the ti force system i have at the moment mapped with the power commander holds peak power to the red line , so i imagine the race cams will lift peak power

for sure they will. I am 99.9% certain they will have increased the lift rate (steeper ramps), total lift and duration.
Did they give you cam specs, or a cam card?
whats the duration on the new cams, that will tell you if they moved the power further in the rpm.

hi
i have the ti force full system with tit headers, but connected to an akrapovic hex silencer, think i posted pics around a year ago
was making 188hp on dynp with that set up so that is the base figure for power gains with the work i am doing
bob carpenter seems a bit reluctant to give figures as megacycle make the cams to his grind spec
i do know that both inlet and ex cams have 9.8mm lift , will measure duration when we build the engine up and degree in the cams
here is a pic of the ex system
