It really doesn't matter either way, the 14 is never going to be the dominant bike. Just not gonna happen. I've only been beat by one 14 ever on my Gen-1 Busa with only a pipe and power commander, lowered, and strapped. Now with my 08 that bike will never again beat me. I've beat lots of 14's at multiple tracks. In fact that last one I raced was stretched a bunch and had nitrous and I still beat him to the other end. The one before him spilled it's guts all over the track and caused a 45 minute cleanup. Even with the internet rumors that these things are fast the 07 Busa still outsold the 14 by a 2:1 ratio. My dealer sold both 08 Busas he's received in less than a day each and guess what? The new 08 14 has been sitting there in a crate for weeks not even put together yet. I asked him why and he said because nobody wants it. The 14 is always going to be the three legged dog at the pound. Maybe Kawasaki could recruit some Busa riders to run at local tracks to salvage their racing heritage. That could be the only hope for the 14.
I see we have a new Busa troll ....

You gotta remember smokin your an exception, remember when I told you I saw 6 14s at a track in Wisconsin and the fastest one was 9.89 stretched and piped and all the goodies the rest of them never got out of the 10's. of course I'm smart enough to realize it was all the riders fault not the bikes but this happens at more tracks then you think. it was a sad day as I knew how fast I had ran on mine but I was without it.

sounds like the 08 14 ran over a tenth faster , thats with a heavier rider, brock
they had to put a flyweight(Rickey G) on the busa to break into the 8s

brocks 08 busa 8.91

brocks 08 14 8.76

Funny thing I went to a Harley-Metric shootout about 6 weeks ago. The 2 bikes in the finals were 2 zx-14s. The winning 14 ran a 5.90 and the quickest busa was a 6.13 and god knows there was enough of them. They sell more volkswagons than they do vipers but damn if I want one. You better watch those 3 legged dogs they might hump your fagget ass crosseyed.

So Ricky Gadson ran an 8.91 on a the 08 Busa, and Brock ran an 8.76 on an 08 14? Link??

And what's up with the personal attacks guys? You might hurt my feelings!

That is correct. So who are you saying ran the 8.76 on the 08 14? Ricky Gadson went 9.10 on HIS '08 14.

Have you ridden a 14??? I personally don't ride a bike because it is alleged to be faster than another bike... because there is ALWAYS someone faster. I have had a Busa. It was a great bike. I now have a 14 and FOR ME it is a BETTER bike. You are entitled to ride whatever bike you like... and to say what you want... but until you are able to have an open mind your input is OPINION. If you say that the 14 is fast but you don't like it, no one here would care... however your points are obviously narrow and only supported by your opinion or your own narrow personal insights. The Busa and 14 at this point are neck and neck. That does not in any way make the Busa a "dominant" bike. It does not make the 14 a "dominant" bike. We will see what Brock is able to do with both of them to get an open and honest test. Regardless, I will continue to ride what I choose for the reasons I choose. Last point, you are saying that the 99-2007 Busa is faster than the 06-07 14?? Please ask Brock. He has had all of them. I believe that all of his write ups do not support your opinion. Continue to ride what YOU like... but realize that you will be debated not because we are a 14 cult... but because we have ridden both bikes and have better input than you do. I have an aquaintance that rode my 14 (with a Muzzy system and PC3) and he said that his 02 Busa would have KILLED it. That is narrow minded because I used to own his Busa and I raced it and beat it with a great rider on it when it was mine. The 14 is a great bike. The best??!! I guess it is up to the riders...

3 boys and bikes, the typical Suzuki rhetoric about sales figures. You know what, last time I checked the Kaw guys ride Motorycles, not sales figures like the Suzuki guys like to spew..

to me mph is a better indication of hp

Kinda like how the ZX-12R always out mph the busa in the 1/4...cuz it always had more HP.

Tides have turned. Busa might have more peak HP now, but it doesn't have the 14's torque.

Torque = Acceleration.

HP = Top speed.

Is that fair to say?

Your right Teddy it is the rider, but the big problem is the 14's are out numbered so bad at most tracks that there is alot better chance that at most tracks the busa's are running better because there is a better chance for some good riders when there's 10 busa's vs 2 14's everywhere. I've seen one other 14 besides mine run good and that is motormania that post on here once in awhile other wise the 3 tracks I've been to if I would have went to the tracks before buying my 14 I probably would have never bought one based on how I see them run and you gotta remember that's what alot of people are seeing. That;s why everyone thought I had motor work or was spraying becuse I was so much faster then the other 14's around. Just like the night I ran my 08 Busa I went 9.89 stock except lowerd and there was a 14 with Smeg, lowerd, strapped, pwr commander and it went 10.07. so to the average guy who never saw my 14 run or know what kind of times brock has ran or smokin or jesse which bike looks better? I even out mph him, so that means he was not opening the throttle, but again the average guy at the track don't know that. not every track has a smokin or jesse or even myself. The number of 14s getting sold has to go up to change that. hope everyone understands what I just said as I'm not bashing the 14 it's a fast bike carried my heavy ass to a 9.14

just like the zuktroll said busa out sold zx14 5 to 1... ive seen more busa's runnin 10's and 11's even 12's at the track than zx14....just do the math ...in this area a STOCK 02 gsxr 1k got more victories than all the busa's combined
