Roaring toyz has some rally nice stuff. No need to knock show bikes.

How many wide tire bikes are there really? Compare that number to Brocks SMEG and lowering kits. Look at the numbers.
Compare bikes with Brock's parts VS Muzzys parts. dyno or track any you will see truth.
If it were not for Brock many zx14 would be alot slower.
Anyone on this board think speed don't sell motorcycles?
Give the man a bike.

In case no one has seen this from Brock, writing about the 08 14 press bikes:

"In a nut shell the new 14 is VERY FAST! I believe it's as strong as or stronger than the 08 Busa? The numbers were very good in horrible conditions. I should have one in my hands soon for dyno testing and I plan on a full head to head comparison vs. the Busa in the near future on dragbike.com."

I for one will be waiting with a worm on my tongue.....................

Guys,

SORRY for the delay in reporting on the 2008 ZX-14 on www.dragbike.com. I have been out of my office for about 8 weeks now, AND we moved to a new location at some point a couple of weeks ago?!? I am beyond swamped. Seriously, my new office is a pile of unopened boxes, and I have never even sat at my unassembled desk?!

As always, my attention to detail takes a while but I can tell you this, Kawasaki is NOT kidding with the '08 ZX-14, and they are not going to be absent/sitting in the background from the performance scene for eight years this time. I heard this directly from one of the most (if not the most) influential and powerful people at KMC-USA.

If all goes well I will have the story up by the end of the week. I'll work on it in between bites of turkey...I promise.

Brock
Brock's Performance

P.S. Here is a little info to hold you over:

More Low-End Torque and Power (Still doesn't hit as hard as the Busa off idle, but the smoothness is nice on the street.)

More Mid-Range Response (The bike is useless at the drag strip at stock height. It's like a big unicycle when the quicker opening flies let it breath!)

Higher Peak Horsepower--203 HP Claimed (with ram air, measured at the crankshaft). The conditions we saw were horrible, and I still managed times close to the '08 Busa which I rode in near perfect conditions at Atco.

Oh yes--my personal opinion: The new Metallic Midnight Sapphire Blue is one of the sweetest colors I have EVER seen on a production motorcycle. I also believe that the 2008 ZX-14 MIGHT be stronger on the dyno after bolt-on mods than the 2008 Busa? I will know as soon as our testing is complete. One thing is for sure...if you like fast bikes; you can choose your favorite model without being worried that your smart-ass buddy will be lipping you! When it comes down to it, both you and your buddy had better be on your game because playing catch-up after a mistake is NO LONGER an option.

So far he is just qouting what Kawasaki is saying! Still waiting for some test and data. Hopefully he can get to the bottom of the F/A ratio question.

Ya like I'm worried! no matter what bike comes out 2 hp ahead it's all rider and for my wieght I can hang in there just fine. Subtract 60 lbs worth of et off of my 5.86 in the 1/8 and I'm right there with some of the best numbers that have been ran on this board and I used pump gas on the 5.86. so to me 60lbs has to be worth .25 so that would have been a 5.61 to 5.65 on pump gas. And if I could have ran about 2 to 4 more passes the night I ran my Busa I would have ran as good if not better then Brock did on the 14 and I was in a 16 to 20 mph head wind as well.ya eat alot of your words once you see the two bikes are going to be about dead even on hp. Now we will see who will be first with another update to get ahead but I would actually put my money an Kawasaki.

Bently calm down aint no one dogging your choice, How much you weigh Bently?? i think the busa is just as fast as the 08 14 but IMO that tail is just ridiculous, but if you like it and can make it move then that is all that matters

You are now the perfect weight to run 64" in Prostar Real Street. Personally, I'd rather be 200 lbs and run 64" than be 180 lbs and run 62". The current ET record for the class is 8.70. I don't know, but you seem like the kind of guy to me that would dig heads up. Way to go!
