08 Busa drag results

Well went to the track today for the last day of the season hoping to get 10 to 15 runs in and see what the Busa could do. Well get to the track and there was over 300 cars and bikes, so got 5 runs in. there was a 16 to 20 mph straight on head wind all day to make matters worse. Bike is 100 % stock except lowerd and strapped, air cleaner was in mirrors were on etc. half a tank of pump gas (90). I was 205 in gym shorts today.
First pass
1.79 60 ft 10.56 after 1 2 3 gear wheelie.
2 nd pass still bad wheelie
1.71 60 ft 10.13 142mph
3rd pass (1st round of race) 9.94 dail in
1.65 60 ft and 9.95 143 mph on the brakes 1000ft et showed I should have went a 9.88 WON
4th pass 9.89 dail 9.90 at 144 on the brakes Won
5th pass 9.89 dail 9.88 off the gas early lost, 1000ft et showed it should have went about a 9.85 had a 1.61 60ft
Bike has 9.70's in it easy with stock everything and 200 plus pound rider. wish I could have put up better times but need seat time and Isaid I would give honest reports so there you go now I'm done for the season. I also see no need for clutch mod as within 5 passes went a 1.61 60ft. with no chatter of any kind. Bike had 96 miles on it starting out and 105 when done, so theres more et with just miles should be a fun year next year.

No need for a pipe, that head wind cost you about 2 MPH. So guessing on a good day you could run about 9.7's @ 145. Also your motor is not fully broken in, wait ttill you have about 1000 miles on her. Very Impressive especially with your weight. One question what RPM are you going through at the traps, also (ok 2nd question) what RPM are you shifting at

I've been waiting for your no-BS report.
Good job!
I'm impressed by hitting that close to your dial every time with a new bike!
Keep in mind that your you beat the times of all the journalists at the press info.
Brock's bikes times aren't a good indicator as they had mine-shaft conditions that don't happen but about once in a lifetime.

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Well most guys that run the track all the time were off 4 mph so that puts me at 149 at my weight!
