Gadson: 08 14 on par with 08 busa.

175hp out of the crate for 08 14. Will be interested to see what brock {non biased} will say about the new kawi. Looks like a riders race to me.

It made 184 with U4 fuel and the stock filter taken out and the bike is rich as heck from the dyno graphs that he posted.

DAMN that bike is going to be nice.

yep close but different dynoes so not conclusive .Here is a similar out of the crate 0 mile run for a 08 busa
http://www.suzukihayabusa.org/forum/index.php?topic=121321.0
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the first and second runs were higher hp than 08 zx14 but the peak torque numbers lower but then again different dynoes so not conclusive...
we need the same day same dyno and bikes from the dealers showroom
also hayabusa seems to hold torque above 100 a lot longer...

What will that prove if it 2-3 hp either way.
I'll bet you if you pick 2 busas or 2 zx14s they will be atleast 2-3 hp difference.
The bikes are going to be close enough that unless you want to dyno race it won't matter.
It been proven many times that the best dyno bikes are not the best race bikes.
Add that 99.9 % of the bikes are not tuned at 100% best tune, and 99.9 percent of the
riders can't get within 2 tenths of times that the pros do.

It all adds up to a crap shoot with good reading and good deals for those of us not following the marketing.

I have a 06 zx14, I challenge all riders my weight 205 lbs +/- 20 with a stock motor to a race. 2008 busas/zx14s are especially invited!
I don't care how long you make it!

Folks it wasn't just a little rich...It was WAY lean at 4,000 RPM at 18:1 and then it droped really rich as the RPM's increased..

That's a little worrisom for follks that ride the bike stock cruising around town with that lean A/F ratio....

Don't forget >>> 3 cats and larger air injection tubes may account for the leaner readings .. I would like to see the numbers with the kleen air pluged off and a good pipe with no cats ..Smokin...

I thought about that but I still don't understand how it could also read so dramatically lean then way rich up high in the RPMS with the emissions stuff...Something doesn't seem right...

bet that lean condition is because when they opened the flies sooner they couldnt tweak the '06-07 fuel mapping enough to enrichen it. Remember what happens when you pull the flies without a PCIII? Yep way lean down there. They musta tried to make up for it partially by enriching the whole curve. Pretty piss poor way to fix it if you ask me! When the hell are we gonna get the same kind of computer that any average CAR has???? Damnit I want a reprogrammable computer! Screw the "add yet another box under my fairings" PCIII approach if I dont have too.
