Whilst most is all bolt on mods to get that speed and comply with test regulations. He was still using race fuel.

So not a fair comparrison IMO

Tail wind, or tail?
Seriously though, I think the point is that he actually broke the 200MPH barrier with a stock geared bike, unlike the ZX14 he used to break the same barrier, where I believe he used and 18 tooth front? Much as I love my 14, I have to believe that the 08 Busa IS FASTER than the 06-07 ZX14's and I think Kwak knew this would happen a few years ago while the ZX14 was on the drawing boards and figured that they'd build in the essentials to beat a faster Busa when they build one -- and then just unleash a bit more to top that new Busa -- was a no-brainer for them to do that. eh?

Chad used an 18 tooth ...Brock used a 17/40 combo that he was using at the drag strip to help controll wheelies ...And i agree the 08 Busa should be and is faster than a 06 07......I wish someone would get thier hands on a 08 zx14 and see what the real story is ...

I'm not into top speed myself.
I thought 90% of you guys didn't care about top speed too???
I thought the 1/4 was more important, because the power used in the 1/4 is more realisticly used more often and on the street.

Just like some people who will argue about their bikes doing 201 and someone else doing 199 on a bigger bike and bragging about it. 2 mph on top end? really who cares, you know?!

I'm not much into top speed either but I do love running at Maxton and am looking forward to running at the Texas Mile.
Almost everyone I've talked to over the past six years at Maxton who drag races their bike loves the standing start one mile stuff.
It's really just a long dragstrip and for folks who say it doesn't take much skill either have never run it or done very well. It's a blast for sure.
Oh yeah.......I really care about that 2mph. :-)

I hope to make it down with an '08 14 sometime and do the Texas Mile or Maxton. I KNOW it would be a BLAST!
