Bently, I take it that you are a busa guy. Why the change from a busa to the 14?

I did have an 2002 then a 2004 Busa before Buying my ZX14. I went with the 14 because I knew it was going to be quicker in the 1/4 mile then the 99 to 07 Busa's which it was hands down. Then when I saw the 08 Busa in orange and black I knew it was time for a switch again, not because I dis liked my 14, But to me the 08 Busa looks bad ass tail and all. And I swith bikes often as I get killer prices on my bikes. I support Kawasaki and Suzuki they both make an excellent product and I think 08 to 08 it's going to come down to rider. I like this board Busa or not for the drag racers and road racers that are on here. think the bs post about which bike is going to be fast is a waste of time. and alot of the idiots saying shit have never posted a time on anything. Not very often you will hear me say anything bad about anyone on here. We all ride very fast ass bikes no matter if it's a 14 or Busa. and alot of tech stuff and product info works for both bikes.

The busa will allways be the king of speed period.and will still out sell those pesky 14,s.
the busa has the records top speed 265mph.1/4 mile 6.9 from turbo busa nlr kit.lets see a zx 14 beat 700hp on dyno run faster than 265.heck mr turbo old bud bike did over 240 mph with just 400hp and stock arm.you guys will fight this all day.but rember the 08 busas are selling like hot cakes.I will add that RG is a pro rider that allready has so much seat time on his 14 that makes it easy to run 9.65.he did not run that on an 06 14.go figure.the new 14 as he said is only 6 more hp than his 06.seat time got those times.

I eanted to swap my bike for a busa back in '07 and they didn't change it. and I'm all about performance not looks but the new busa i can't put in my garage its so horrid. we saw one in person and thats all it took for me. I saw the new 08 ZX14 on display at daytona and although they changed it to beat the busa as far as HP, it looks the same as my red one - not enough bike difference for me to swap.
sazook and kawi saved me money this year, I'm keeping my old porn star nipple red bike again yet another year :P

Hey lee, thats what i did. I still have my 06,but the 08 is quicker and faster, 10.02 -143,box stk 06. MY best, 9.87-145 box stk to date 08. This winter all mods except motor is coming off 06 an guess where its going! I have a pretty stout motor in the 06,cams mild porting .5 comp increase 209 hp! Iam going to add same motor mods to the 08 when i get inside but isee heads/crank/pistons/an cams all carry different part #s then 06 07.This is getting fun!! bill...

i dont think those numbers come from seat time on a 14 as the do from seat time period!!
when you start talkin about a pro rider who has ridden everything out there and has probably 100s of passes a month it doesn't take long for him to adjust to any bike brand. he just has to adjust to that particular bike.
the numbers are close and so are the bikes its that damn simple. i ride with Busa guys and 14 guys and we all think the same.

You should read the 2006 zx14 World Press Intro, it shows a stock 06 can go 9.6's

All on a bone stock 2006 zx14, Ryan might be able to 9.30's on a bone stock 08 zx14 without being lowered

Yes, it is! I love this HP war. Without the 14 the Busa would not have been pushed to improve in '08. And in turn, the ante was raised for the 14, which it appears to have met in stock form. I can't wait to see which bike is quicker mod for mod.
