That 08 Busa ain't all that....like I posted before, my buddy who weighs less (30-40) pounds just got one and we ran them earlier in the week and I beat that thing every time and that ain't "mag bragg" but REAL world comparo. Gstring, put the mag down and go practice because one thing is for certain, when your 08 Busa is running (if you own one), Richard won't be riding it for you playa!

my buddy this and my buddy that blah blah...

Of course the new busa would beat a stock 14 with the flies in. But take them out (a no cost mods I might add) and the 14 would wax that ass in everyone of those that you mentioned in the first post.

I mean everyone in the world knows that the flies are a major draw back on the 14. But it doesn't cost anything to remove them. Its like the clutch on the busa, but the only difference is that you gotta buy parts to fix the clutch on the busa.

The subthrottles dont make that much difference on peak power, mainly in the midrange. Once you get going peak power is what wins you races not the midrange power.

Yep Duncan, no matter what, they still come up with some excuse
lets face it the 08 busa is 10 hp ahead of the zx14 and has better aerodynamics and that is the truth period.

So we're all agreed then, the title of this thread should be "MCN 2008 Busa quicker than 2006/7 ZX-14" even if we don't all agree that the claim is justified.

....and the 2008 ZX-14? Who's going to stick his neck out and predict the Busa is the winner of the "all 2008" shootout?

Well I only rode it about 3 miles, will pick it up wed after work. Tail looks way better in person to me then the pictures. The tail light is half the size the pictures made it out to be. Fit and finish on the bike is outstanding they really did a nice job. Still feels like the old Busa except more power every where. Tranny is the smoothest shifting of any bike I've rode. That's about all I can say right now as I did not spend much time on it. Was not sure if I was going to get it as I wqas suppose to get orange and black and for some reason a blue came in first. But after looking at it I really like the blue. My track is open for the last time this sat. so if the weather stays good you will get a better report after that. It will be lowerd strapped and 87 pump gas otherwise stock. I will say the 14 is a smoother bike, the Busa reminds me of a late 60's to early 70's muscle car where the 14 is like a bmw or mercedes with alot of hp. Both good.
