Cam lift and duration for zx14
Has anybody measured the stock cams for a zx12r yet...

I take it you want the numbers on a 14's cams. I measured mine the lift on the intake was .355, exhaust was .335 lift. The manual says intake is 292 degrees duration,exhaust is 278 degrees. The exhaust is quite a bit smaller compared to a zx12's exhaust cam,mainly in duration. Hope this helps. Chuck

So ??? Would the ZX14 benefit from replacing the exhaust cam with an intake?
More lift and duration? Similar to the popular Busa mod?

I thought the cam sensor bolts the cylinder head..

yep, and the trigger is on the exh cam.
not a huge deal to put a trigger on an int cam.

stock zx12r cams .358in/ .342 ex duration at .050 244in./238 ex...
let me check the total duration on the exhaust..

zx12r uses 300 degrees on intake and 292 degrees on exhaust.. why use smaller cams and throttle bodies?

the diameter of the bores are only 1mm difference..Actually I think they would work..

Diameter of what bores, the tappet bores? Are the Valve stem centers the same distance apart. What about lift/duration and what about the retaining cap diameter. I doubt very seriously the 12R cams would be even remotely close to working.
