5lb nitrous bottle?

I was wanting to throw spray on for next year...that's not the problem. I was wanting to runa 5lb bottle. I'm super lazy when it comes to working on my bike at the track. I hate.....hate....touching it for anything beside gas and quick PC change. Has anybody mounted a 5 pounder on anything? I know i have the space but what i am i going to run into over a 2lb bottle?

There should be no problem runnning it as long as you can find room to mount it. I run a 2.5 and can get 5 passes out of it no problem. I have a medium set up with the nos coming on at like 19% at wide open throttle and building to 100% over 1.5 seconds. Hope this gives you an idea of where to go with it.

if money is no object they make carbon fiber bottles that are far smaller in comparison to metal tanks given the same size.

jarhead...thanks, I was wondering how long a 2.5 would last me. How big a shot you running? I was going for a 50 dry. I found the measurements for a 5lb off schnitz web site and it looks like it will fit. I'm not sure about brackets thou...

your car is slow...thanks, yea i love the CF bottles. I gave myself a budget this year to work under. I spent 3 grand on the bike last winter and didnt get a damn bit faster...this year i'm not making any excuses.

I am running the Muzzys combo kit with the 50hp shot. And you will get faster with nos as long as your track will hold it.

there must be lots of room in front of the rear tire. (going by your 60's you have to be extended right?)

jarhead....my track wont hold a straight 50 shot...i would have to use a progressive box. I had a 2 dial schnitz box but sold it...i'll buy another one this winter. How much ET did you see with the 50 shot?

KZScott....My best 60 this year has been a 1.42 at a little over 64"....which i think is 7- 8 over. The bike went 1.38 60' with a lighter rider this year. I just need to lose some weight i'm up to 240 suited.

The bikes going back to Schnitz this year to get tuned back on pump gas and get 2 maps...one motor...one nitrous. The bike doesnt feel like it's making HP..maybe it's just me...

I use a 42 nozzle instead of the 38 they supplied, and 20% fuel added to each cell from 7000 up , at wfo throttle.

It likes to chew up the tire!

I ran all motor last weekend on the nitrous map an ran low 9.30's my best on motor has been 9.26, my best on spray is 8.78 so I would say it is good for 4 tenths. Ryan did all the mapping on my bike also. I live about 15 minutes from his shop so it is nice to be able to pop in. You have me beat on the 60', my best was a 1.43, but I seem to average 1.45-1.46. I wish I could figure out what I did on the 1.43 pass and keep doing it! That is on pump gas and at 64' wb filter still in and TRE. I am -1 in front.

Jarhead....i live about a hour away from Ryans shop. Where do you race at? I'm at muncie every wednesday night. I have fought and fought and fought my bike this year...nothing seems to be making a differance this year. I know the weather hasnt been the greatest...when it's cool it gets humid...when it's not humid it's hot....
