I saw a pretty even match up, matter of fact he guy on the 14 looked like a bit of a pussy when it came to top end because he kept backing off.

Only rider skills matter. The Kawi guy went in the turns depper/hotter before braking and it gave him the edge.
This race is similar to putting two souped up high-HP school buses on a road course. Neither bike could go into a turn super-hot and brake on a dime then execute. Of course not, it takes a football field to slow 'em down in comparison to track bikes. And the slow corner speeds and poor lean angels were....boring.
I think these big bikes are better suited competing on a drag strip where they belong. I just don't see news coming out "the big ZX14 and 'busa will compete on AMA and MotoGP for 2008", although watching them get massively spanked by the smaller bikes would be funny :P

Bentley bring that busa (or 14) to Daytona Speedway the 18th-20th and run on the track with our smaller race bikes and lets check out the performance

Sorry steve, I hold a ccs road race license and can hold my own at a road course, But I perfer an SV650 or I also had some good times on my ZX 10. would never be stupid enough to take a Busa or ZX 14 to a track day, just a waste of time to me. That's like me saying why don't you bring your honda road race bike to a drag strip and lets check out it's performance when my Busa comes in.

1000cc bikes? WTF have they got to do with this?
Well seeing as most zx14 riders either dragrace or LSR their bikes the 1st part of the video is the relevant part....cornering is not something you buy a Z14 or similar to do...BHP,Top speed & 1/4 times are what counts. The busa got a spanking for all to see.
The 2008 ZX14 will be just pissing on the busas grave! The busa is DEAD long live the ZX14!

They weren't racing on a "track"...Bruntingthorpe is an Airfield
The couple of corners are on the return road.
They used Bruntingthorpe to test the bikes Top Speed and which would win a top speed run

The video did seem as if the 14 was pulling from the busa in the first shot of the two bikes but fuk all that twisties crap. Put 'em on the drag strip where they belong.

IMO, that 14 WAS NOT STOCK...the 08 Busa IS faster than the previous model 14. Hell, it has the A/D's and certainly the HP over the 14. I know my piped, sprocketed and mapped 14 will take that Busa down easy...but not without those mods...
