Stage xxx mr. turbo, I have called and called and called and called for three days straight at the 3-5 p.m. tech call time and have NEVER reached Mr. turbo for some questions yet. I called when you mentioned it. Damn are they that busy? I'm sure they are. I am interested in a kit that would bolt to my stock engine for now and I am told that 250 HP would be a good HP for the stock block to hold, is that correct?
Yes please post up the pics and other information.

The following Thursday it ran 176MPH with the same amount of boost used at the Texas mile! If you check the passes at the texas mile you will notice he went 10+ MPH faster each pass at the mile! We were creeping up on the speed being that Kevin (the rider of the Mr Turbo, XXX Chrome Plating bike)had never ran at any land speed event before! He just wanted to make sure he could get it stopped in the 4 tenth shut down! Had we had another pass it would have been well above 240 and if he was still comfortable stopping the bike was geared for 270! On the 230 pass we still had not used 1/3 of the available power!!!! It was running at about the max power of the STAGE I kit! Which is just the beginning on the stage III. If he decides to come down in march the numbers will move up much farther! Can't wait to watch the new numbers when he gets to Prostar's Super Street class!!

Each pass got incrementally better; we all stopped whatever we were doing and watched him as he went faster and faster, inching up.
Mr Turbo is truly amazing I learn more in 10 minutes standing next to Terry than I have in 25 years at the dragstrip! He is truly a master at his craft!

Keep calling they have been swamped at Mr Turbo! If you want the stage I kit tell Elizabeth that you are ready to make a deposit on it after you get a few questions answered! I can tell you from spending a few weeks at Mr Turbo's shop that it is not unusual for Terry to come in at 7 AM and not to leave until midnight or later! He demands quality in every aspect of his Turbo kit's! Monday's are bad if you don't get through Tuesday send me a PM with your phone number and the best time to call, I will make sure you get through or I will have them call you! As of now they are getting them out pretty quick, But I would not wait long! I have a feeling after the Prostar World Final's at Gainsville and what just happenned at the Texas mile the line is going to get much longer than it already is! Terry just ordered another large batch of pipes while we were there and many of them have already been spoken for!

now i don't know about that ...cuz i've known ppl's that put a gps on board and was a big differance like 4 to 8 mph .... and both system are ( 0.000) .... i don't know

You hit the nail on the head! I think they are both correct the GPS is giving speeds through out the mile and the records are measured at the finish of the mile! It is possible based on set ups they may have ran faster before they got to the finish! It is really easy to let out early at the end knowing you only have 4 tenths to shut down!!
By the way Mr Turbo said to say Hi! He was in really deep thought when you stopped by the pits and he did not get a chance to visit with you after he finished what he was working on!

Guys, by the last few seconds in 6th gear before the traps, you're not accelerating very hard at all with naturally aspirated or small nitrous. That being said, by the time you're at the top of 6th gear... the GPS has already caught up to your current speed. Now, the average GPS does have a 1 second refresh rate that many people have mentioned in order to discredit GPS as being accurate. But here's the facts....
GPS does not stop reading when you trip the lights, it continues to record max speed as you blast through the light. Nobody chops the throttle at or before the end, they blow THROUGH THE LIGHTS and let off approx 1 second after. That 1 extra second gives the GPS time to refresh the max speed obtained 1 second ealier as you went through the traps.
Remember, you're NOT accelerating hard the last couple seconds of the run. Maybe 1-2mph tops.... this is why GPS is actually very accurate (within 1mph) of ACTUAL speeds.
We've tested various GPS units against calibrated radar guns during top speed runs and they are always within 1mph of each other at the most.
I do agree that the GPS is worthless in the lower gears, too much acceleration.

Ride a Turbo Bike! It would change your whole perspective. The Mr Turbo ZX14's were pulling harder in 6th Gear than my Top gas bike pulls in 3rd! Every 1000 rpm in 6th Gear was better than 10 mph gain! It was like a 1 mile Drag race from beginning to end!

TG any 1/4 mile numbers yet ????????
176 MPH the first pass! At less than 1/3 power about the same as a stage I ! This was the same as we used at the Texas mile! Another 3 passes at the mile and well I can only say it was geared for 270 and there was plenty left, if there was enough room to stop!
You'll have to ask XXX for times in the 1/4! I am Sworn to secrecy, probably will have to wait till the World final's in Gainsville to find out!
