2nd gear roll on is a good indicator of the comparison between the two bikes because if it was a start from a dead stop, it would come down to who launches better, etc, etc. This seemed like a pretty good gauge on what the new Busa is a ble to do. Like "flatoutbu" said as far as the weight issue, with the 14 having an after market pipe, it lost about 25 pounds in addition to that, the 14 gained 10 to 15 HP. Make those same changes to the new Busa and the Busa would have obviously ran away from the 14, not only because of the lighter wgt but also because of the HP gain. Seems to me like Suzuki has something again.
I asked Brock a couple days ago, which bike( "06/07" 14 vs "08" Busa) was fastest stock for stock, which bike has the potential to gain the most from bolt on mods and which bike has the most potential to be the fastest. Brock's answer for all three was the "08" Busa. Brock has tested both bikes extensively. He has no reason to lie. I asked him the same question regarding the "08" 14. He stated that he was in Canada at the moment and that he should have an "08" 14 waiting for him when he came back so that he could do a side by side comparison to the new Busa. That will be interesting.
So there you go. The new Busa is a little faster than the "06/07" 14. It was sweet while it lasted but nothing last forever. I have the "06" 14 myself and I have no desire to change at this time. I'm very satisfied with mines. If we all bought a new bike everytime something came out that was quicker or faster, we would all be broke.

I care, I'm getting a zx14 and I'll kick busa AZZ old and new.
I may loose a few, but like any sport when you win more than you loose
you have a winning season.

If the price was right, I'd be tempted into getting an 08 14. I would swap the plastics and all the shit I have on mine, though, and sell the 06.

Well, if we follow that distorted logic, "in all fairness" no one should be comparing the 08 Busa with 06 technology ZX-14 (including the 08 ZX-14).
