Looks like Bikelands Member Halvefast got his 200 MPH ticket at the TX mile on his stock motored zx14 with a small dry shot of N20 ...

The world is so much brighter, birds sing clearer, I swore I heard trumpets . . . . all above 200mph (LOL)
What a great feeling, but boy the back end skates around a bit up there, even with my big butt on it.
Realise, I'm not huge by any means, just compact, @ the dragstrip testing my Mile set-up, bike and rider weighed 770lbs.

I don't recall a tail wind last year. If anything it was blowing directly from right to left gently forcing the whole bike to the left side of the track around the 1/2 to 3/4 mark. On the Saturday last year, the wind was damn near in your face. I'm talking about the summer run last year, I didn't make it to the spring event.

Well let me tell you a story:
Made 1 N/A pass just to make sure we were in the ballpark no time to screw around (181.413)
That was easy, ready to spray, single poly tube run up into the air box, keep it simple,
no nozzle 45 shot Dyno'ed by JohhnyCheese:
next pass: (186.336)- letting off just after 3/4 mi. redlined in 6th on and off the throttle
all the rest of the way. OK time for a gear change from 18/43 to 18/40

Again no time for playin' go right to the littlest sprocket we brought. Next pass (193.793)
then, 191.55, 190.43 and we done for the day, hanging in the low 90's, not happy at all.

Stay late, tweaking the workhorse, looking for all and any signs of loss HP or areos.
We have a plan, load it for bear, first pass will be best chance, low wind and heat,
it usually just gets worse. Head for the hotel, I haven't gotten much sleep as of yet.

Sunday morning, Fog so thick we could barely see our pit as we came into the track.
Concentrate, hit the shift points, spray from 4th on instead of 5th slight crosswind
(not anything like March) Got a little aggressive on the start spun pretty good out of the hole (193.244)
OK, we left a little on the table that time, shooting for 195, I will be satisfied, 200 I'll go nuts!

Next 2 passes, we have a problem now the bike doesn't want to shift right
under the loads of NOS or falls back out of gear. (188 and 183)

Load up the bottle again, change attitude, make it or break it, spray in 3rd on up,
again I spin off the line, but it shifts: (195.872) Wahoooo! goal #1 done

Let's try and back it up, want no excuse of butterflies tripping the lights,
this time spray in 3rd and wring it right out each gear pick your butt up in 5th
slide back but don't miss 6th, yes another clean pass! (198.832) oh baby I can taste it now!

Running out of time and Nitrous, and we brought 27lbs! It's 3:25 and the track shuts down @ 4:00.
The bike is now smokin' hot, and little time to get bottle filled and up to pressure.

OK! locked, cocked, and loaded: pull up to the line take a moment to get my head on right,
picture every shift, concentrate on every rev, don't spin, sit back- tuck tight, on the line
and they stop to look for Rustman's K&N somewhere on the track.

Good cause the bike could use a little breather, now I'm calm and ready.
Checklist gone thru twice, "Bike 710 on deck, let er' go!"

Nice launch shift quick this one comes soon, again, now spray, shift, shift,
sit back tuck in squeeze tight, last shift is good, tach @ 10600 hang on tight,
she gets a little light in the rear and starts a little sway, nothing scary, hold it past the line. Done!

Now the hard part, riding over to the timing booth, was it enough, did I do my part,
was there enough in the bottle?

She walks over with just a little smirk on her face, "tell me good news" ????
You went 200.256mph, you did it! I ripped off my helmet and gave her a big kiss!

Thanks to all the guys on here and at the track who helped support my effort:
Karl, Gary Johnny, Ali, MadMike, everyone you meet at the mile are really great people.

Huge thanks to my wife and Dad, who was the only one willing to crew for me
and wanted this just as bad as I did.

Thanks guys, it was an awesome trip, everyone around here thinks well now he did it,
don't need to go back, Right?

You guys know better, this is the most expensive drug I know.
I think a diet is on the list of go fast mods, could be the cheapest HP yet.

Thanks again, and congrats too all who reached their own personal goals!
Make sure to let Shannon know we want 3 events for next year!
