?Busa top speed?
I find it hard to believe but I'll ask anyway. I heard this weekend that the top speed on the 08 busa was 208!!! Has anybody heard anything like that or has it even been tested yet?

According to Motorrad magazine it's 295 km/h (183 mph), the top speed limiter kicks in on 5th and 6th. 196 hp/157 nm at the crank. Brakes aren't that impressive, suspension could also be better. Good fuel mileage, ~250 miles to the tank.
Inhale with care, this is all second hand information, haven't seen the test ride report myself.

most of the stock to slightly modified busas where going 157mph to 171 mph This was my first time to a top speed event and it was just like the drag racing numbers. the bikes arent going to where near what the magizines say. NOT EVEN CLOSE

Now,
one similarly equiped to Brocks 202 Maxton ZX14 could be a real possibility, the busa aerodynamic drag coefficient is substantially better than the zx14.... and that was the old busa, .... I'd imagine the new one is 5-10% better than the old one.
They didn't make it that ugly without a purpose....

The new Busa's drag co is exactly the same as the old model.
They improved the lines slightly but they changed the front to get better rider wind protection.
Net result the same.
A stock motor but with all the bolt ons Busa does the same hp and runs mid 190s top end with a decent rider, 200 tops with good conditions. There have been a couple of 206s, 208s but that was with huge tailwinds. The 12s and 14s were up there too.
However, the old bikes with the mods do not have all the cats etc to bugger up power past peak so the new bike will make less power at near redline stock so maybe mid 190s realistically. No doubt some muppets will make sure a "stock" Busa will make it to 200 though. They said the last one could do 200 Ho ho ho.

I have just 1 question. This is ZX14. com why is there allways so much talk about the new busa, dont they have there own web page?

+1 I mean i like busa's but i think it should be in a different forum.. It really is getting old. There both fast bikes and its gonna come down to who can ride better anyway.

The only way it looks good, Is at a blur of 186...HOLLY FUCK IT'S UGLY .... I wonder if a sleeping bag will fit in the trunk..
