ok Let's Ride!: Ozello Trail, FL
zx12adam mentioned meeting up for a ride, and it looks great. He said "Ozello Trail is how it's spelled, it's in Crystal River just south of Cedar Key. Mapquest it but it doesn't look like anything special from a map, much better in person."
Would anyone be interested in a group ride through the area?
I looked at it and it is obviously an awesome ride - If so, we'll put something together and go run a few twisties with adam. Actually it looks fantastic compared to our local straight roads, and here are a few comments I found online about it (last paragraph the BEST):
Ozello Trail offers a ride on nature's wild side
Twisting and winding its way through hardwood hammocks, past grassy salt marshes and finally toward its namesake, Ozello Trail is full of scenery and wonder. The serpentine highway is unlike any other road in the county. Its challenging curves demand respect. This isn't a Sunday drive on a back road past the hay fields. This path coils, curves and dips, slicing through a place where a road was probably never meant to be.
As it snakes out to the Gulf of Mexico waters, Ozello Trail, or County Road 494, quickly asserts its sense of adventure. Its many bends restrict sightlines, and a driver quickly gets a feeling of isolation as trees crowd out the sky.
The first few curves are mere warmups for what is to come. The real curves emerge after the trail passes John Brown Drive. The curves start coming one after another here, with road markers such as Panther Point, Captain Court and Hideaway Drive adding to the Ozello mystique.

Check your PM bro. It looks like a scenic road, but one with alot of local traffic and side roads so bear all that in mind as I don't know if it will suit 14's much less a group of them. Personally, I tend to go for more extreme rural areas to get away from the car traffic, but good curves are hard to find in Florida. If you put something together for early on a Saturday AM, then I am in. Let me know.

The road to Ozello is indeed a nice road. A couple of cautions, ......if you ride too fast you will end up in the water. Also, there's only ONE way in and out. Suggestion, ride somewhat conservatively going in to check for cops and then turn up the pace on the way out.

I don't get off work until 8am so I won't be able to get down there until about 10-10:30. I'm thinking about bringing my truck too incase we have someone go down.
