There doing. Last I heard from Harry at ATP they were running around 8.40's at 175. Having some problems with the velocity stacks holding the boost pressure. Over 16psi, and they come off. Joe Hahn of Orient is at work fixing the problem. In fact, he may have already fixed it.
I'm not going past 15psi this year. Plan to replace the velocity stack with the new ones this winter. Would also like to get the Catlyst body/tank/tail, and a TIC-1000 boost controller for next year. Then I'll go to 22psi.
IMHO, I think Orient will be the first ZX14 into the 7's(wish it was me!!!). There rider is far more experienced, lighter, and they have more time to fiddle with the bike.
I've only made 3 passes since I got my bike back. One was just a "ride it downt the track, break in the motor".

Ifly,
thanks for the update, me and tg (Eric) are both picking our bike up next week and heading right to the texas mile. then i will be preparing my bike to run super street in nov in fl. i would like to put my bid in for the first 14 into the 7's to :-) lol terry has had erics bike up to 20 pounds of boost with no issues at all, and we have addressed the velocity stack issue on my 14 and we well into the 20's . now we are going up to the 30 pound of boost level, i sure cant wait to post those dyno sheets. the boost controler is a must have if you are tring to run some low eights or high 7's we have that on my 14. however to run super street class you have to limit it to 2 boost levels only. you should come down to Florida and run prostar in nov with that monster you have.

I will go to Gainsville if I can get enough track time to get some sort of handle on the bike! It has been several years since I street raced without bars. I have been running a car tire bike since 1993, So this no bar racing is going to be a learning experence for me! I just hope I can keep up.

Not to rain on your parade, but your not gonna be anywhere near ready in a month unless you start making a lot of passes on your bike to dial it in. I made 3 passes and determined I need a gearing change. After that, I'll probably re-dial in the lockup unit. Then its off to play with the boost. IMHO you just kidding yourself if you think you can actually be competitive in about a month an a brand new turbo set up.
My advice is to run the piss out of it at the local track and have fun. Spend the "winter" tinkering with it, then go next year in November.
Your getting into too much of a hurry. I think the Texas Mile might be doable, but LSR is much easier than drag racing. Hell, even GPW can run LSR.....

Ifly,
point taken, i am no novice to racing, I jockey 6 to 7 different bike a year for different teams, the bike isnt going to need all that much tweaking, Mr Turbo has over 600 miles on it on the dyno breaking it in and tweaking it in. i plan on running it 3 to 4 times a week up untill prostar getting use to it, and i am realistic. it isnt like i think i can go out there and set world records, just want to get some experience in that class and have fun.
any new updates from Atco?

I have never done any kind of LSR. Though I think it will be an ideal place to get a feel for the bike. I also have never ridden a bike with a Turbo. So having a mile to test on for two days should be fun and a learning experience at the same time. Heck, I would be thrilled to do as well as GPW has done on my first trip!

Don't worry about it ..Everyone has to learn and it takes time ...Just go have fun and don't get hurt .... But i must say trying to learn on a turbo bike is about the hardest thing you will ever do or try.....I have had more than one turbo bike and they are a handfull to ride ...Becarefull or the beast will bite back ...Smokin...
