Lots of internal changes on the 08 model make it a more developed product but purely in performance terms, if you're comparing showroom stock, then the 08 is going to be noticeably better.

However...

Since most owners have pulled the secondary 'flies and fitted a pipe etc, for them the difference will be much less. Anyone with a stock 06 model only needs to do this too and save a few bucks.

Repaint your bike in the 08 color--

Or you could just puke on your current bike to get a similar colour scheme to the new lmited.

It would seem that a green limited would be a marketing no brainer at Kawaski, but I guess not. We all felt this year that Kawasaki could not come up with an uglier colour scheme than the white flamed '14.

O.K. Kawasaki, you win, you proved us all wrong. The '08 limited is by far an uglier paint scheme. But don't feel you need to top the current '08 abdomination with an even uglier paint scheme for '09. You have proved you are clueless in this area................time to move on.

Those of you with '07 limited that have removed the flames, they actually look o.k.

Well i think i've made my decision its either goin to be the new 10R or 1000RR. Once they been tested and i've sat on them at the bike show in December i'll make final pick. Right now leaning towards the 10R but alot of new tech on that honda. Let the party begin!!
