Lubing the chain on long trips.

I'm going on a 2 week interstate ride soon, and I was wondering how to go about lubing the chain during the trip. All of my other bikes have had a centre stand, but I dont have one on the ZX14. It's about $500.00 AU to buy the kit ! (bugger that !!!). Any advice?

One way to go is to get a cheap chain oiler, a Loobman for example. The price is around 30 bucks, but takes some extra work and thinking to make it fit and last longer than the first day. PM me for tips if you get one.

Have your wife or girlfriend ride on back and lube it every 2000 miles. Spray most of the chain... dont let any busa riders see you push it then hit the rest...

I had an idea of modifying a 12mm turnbuckle, and using as a swingarm prop-stand. Total cost = $6.00 AU, and 3 stubbies (beers). I'll try to get some DIY pics happening.

What a joke! Your derogatory comments are humorous, witty, and helpful........NOT ! To the one who started this spray of bull's excrement, and "doesn't play well with others", I guess by process of elimination, one can only establish that he plays better with himself ??? Maybe I'll just go "shot myself"........you troglodyte! Now that we've got that out of our systems. With 185 views in 4 days, I'm obviously not the only one asking the question.
How about, those twin exhausts get bloody hot, and not wanting to spray lube all over the tyres, and polished wheels. Thanks to the others, and anyone else with HELPFUL advice.

Here's the best advice Buy three chains and everytime you needs a fresh lubed one stop on the highway and install it, Or put your bike against a wall and dump some oil under the rear tire...Spool it up to about 60 and spray... Or just roll the fuc&%$#@ bike. WTF ????

When you learn how to keep a chain oiled on a trip, then worry about people's spelling. Its obvious you're incapable of either.
