Vincent, I feel you bro. My flight landed at national at 11 am this morning in the snow. Tomorrow nite I'll be tailgating and sitting in FedEx field till midnite watching the Redskins lose, in 20 degree weather, so yea I'm with you.
This Plan turned into Nightmare lol but this weekend it's going back up to the 60's in the DC area so there is hope.

hey Steve, not trying to step on anyones toes, was just making a friendly suggestion...I dont blame anyone for the weather that they cant control....was just suggesting that we move it through the south during the winter months, and then back across the north once it warms....seemed like a smart thing to do to me, and to keep it moving....*shrugs shoulders*

It actually NOW looks like Sunday will be a BETTER day that Saturday! Saturday is to be in the low 50's and Sunday is to be in the MID 50's. SOmeone needs to Post a message that I need to hear from anyone in Maryland between Baltimore and Washington or between Delaware and Washington. It is about 40 miles to Baltimore for me and about the same from Baltimore to Delaware. 100 Miles or so in New Jersey then you are at New York.
#1 Problem as I saw it was who ever got the flag and KEPT it in NC for over 30 days! That made the difference!

It was in the 40's all weekend long and raining and sometimes sleeting all weeked long! If we do not have any 50 degree weather in the next few weeks, we need to mail this flag back to Florida where the people that call Bad weather when it is in the 50's or rain in the 70's!

the weather finally cooperated long enough for Vincent and i to exchange the flag! i know it's taken awhile to move it and i'm sure the journey north will continue to be slow but everyone should remember that the relay is for fallen riders so lets honor them by not giving up and those that can help to do so.

I am waiting for someone in either Maryland or Delaware to sign in! I will take it as far as Baltimore or a little NORTH of there maybe over on Rt 40 toward Delaware! (Did I mention on a NICE Day somewhere in the 50 to 60 Degree Temps??

I'm working at Ft. sill in lawton oklahoma but my bikes are in fla............It was almost 80 deg here today.

I am STILL Waiting to hear from anyone in Delaware, SOuthern New Jersey or at least in Maryland above Baltimore! I am 200 Miles from NYC. We are having 65 Degree Weather today and last Sunday we had 55 to 60 degree weather. In 3 weeks, the Flag will be with me Back in Fla at Daytona. Maybe I can hand it over there and they take it home with them ?? !

So the NYC members won't ride 100 miles each way to meet you? might as well bring it back to FL, I guess no one north of Virginia actually rides.

I was just trying to get someone in Baltimore, Delaware or Southern New Jersey to ride about 25 Miles from B More or 50 Miles From Delaware! Then you only have a little over 100 Total to go and the person in NJ or Delaware only needs to go "50" Miles! WIth 65 degree weather last SUnday this was easy to do!
If the weather is OK this weekend, I am going to take it down town and to the Maryland line for some Pics!

And sometime around May, my friends in Seattle, whatever Bikelanders that sign up, and I are going to Thunder Raceways, ? or is it Thunder Hill Raceway? in Northern California for a few days of track rental. I can pick it up from as far south as, say San Franscisco? if someone wants to ride down from the track to there with me. Just need some Southern Cali hospitality to get it up to there. I have zero doubt that the flag could absolutely fly from our southern states members from Florida thru Texas into Southern Cali. Us West Coasters will show you all hows its done from there.
You will see the dates for the track rental posting soon, still ironing out dates and such. We picked that track for its newer surface, intermediate level of difficulty, and it just happens to be a really cheap track to rent out! Being in the middle of NOWHERE doesnt hurt. Some of us will be camping at the track, that will be up to each individual. Also, I'll be having someone drive my truck down with my enclosed trailer from the Everett, WA area, so there will be plenty of room for another bike and any gear you guys want to throw in.
PK and crew: You want to come? And bring more than one bike? We can arrange something, like a few days before I meet you at the border with the trailer and you toss one or two bikes inside. It will be completely safe at my house. I'll even let you lock it with your own lock if you like.  I don't trust anybody either....
