Made the switch to synthetic +1

At 3970 miles changed out the Motul 3000 10-40 dino oil. Put in Motul 300V 15-50. The stuff is not cheap but from even the packaging you could tell it was a quality product. I put in 4 quarts even with a new OEM Kaw filter. Took it out for a ride and the thing is so smooth I can't believe it. The shifts were like butter and the bike seemed to roll on better in all gears. I only rode about 15 miles but first impressions were very good. I wanted to let the bike get broken in with conventional oil, but now that it is i really like the syntheic Motul. Two thumbs up. The stuff even smells good.

But does it TASTE good?

I have a gallon sitting here waiting to be put in. I'm putting a couple hundred more miles on the Dino oil before I switch. It is good stuff. Noticeably smoother shifting. It gets chilly here so I'm sticking with the 10-40.
